OK; Christmas is here and Santa’s making his rounds tonight. The children are all excited with expectations of great gifts floating in their heads tonight as they head off to bed.

But what about you?

If you could have but one Christmas wish that would be fulfilled, what would you wish for this Christmas? Give it lots of thought, I mean, who knows…………….

My Christmas wish is that all my friends that are stuck at work without electricity stay warm and get home soon.

My Christmas wish for myself is that I have the strength of will to do what I need to do to make myself healthier so I can be in less pain.

She's my reactive attachment disorder, non-biological daughter, who is developmentally disabled/delayed with coordination issues most likely linked to the suspected pre and perinatal drug and alcohol abuse she was exposed to. This is the first time in three years that she's been stable and laughing and enjoying life and connecting with people who actually give a fuck about her.

As for the irony of her walking in safer places... my girl has been forced to walk places a fool would fear to tread - and she made it out alive - before she hit double fucking digits.

You have your hands full, for sure. I'm glad there is someone there to try to help her stay on her feet and to try to keep her in a safer environment. But the problem is, no matter how much help she receives, if she decides she no longer wants or needs help and walks away on her own, it is out of your control. You simply must understand that you can aid her as long as she allows you to do so, but the bottom line is, she must accept your aid willingly or your efforts will be in vain.

Best wishes for each of you! If you ever need a shoulder, PM me, I have very large shoulders but unfortunately I'm often away for days at a time when I have no access to the net, or at least I don't have time to get online.
