not sure if the link will work, but this looks like a versatile piece of equipment for suspension. But I guess in a Dungeon you wouldn't need to go high tech.

my fantasty dungeon....
sitting here thinking about it, the first thing that came to mind was to have it set up like a kid's room, only with all the cuffs and shackles and things attached cleverly to the furniture.
but maybe i'm just sick. that's possible.

That would be really cute/funny/ironic/playful Bunny. IF I could I would convert my room subtly, things can be tucked away and or used as something else when not play time...but when it is, it would be almost like pushing a button and instantly there would be bars, and ties, and crosses and tables and the closet would open filled with toys, paddles, attire, costumes, a mirror or two would pop down or out ropes would come down from the ceiling and create a mock four posted bed 
But, the room would be as big as a large dorm room, a double bed with satin sheets (black preffly) a St. Andrew not bolted but stuck to the wall. A table to be bound to, a stool to be bound to, spreader bars/machines, fuck machines, a bondage type swing/sling. And lots of toys...lots of toys and a sybian. And an experienced tender Dom (male or female) to go with it. ::nod:: Probably pleanty more things, but I'm too distracted to type it all out now.

I like the free standing "X" designs more than the crosses... I just like the feel of each arm and leg attached to a different spread part of it.
I like the idea of designing one, or finding one that has like a saw horse type design in the center, so once a person is fastened, it could either be laid flat, (about 3-4 ft off the ground I'd think) .. or completely inverted.

At our local dungeon, we have two St. Andrews crosses, attached together at the top, with a 4 foot base attaching the bottoms, so you could strap a subbie to each side and have fun...
This sounds really wierd, but I'd like a six foot (or so) length of chain link set free standing or attached to a wall. Very useful for tying one up.
A bondage table would be nice; D likes to use them cause they're smaller, easier to move around from side to side to side. Also because on most of them the height is adjustable, so it can be raised or lower depending on what's the most comfortable for whatever mayhem he's planning.
The rest is just set dressing, lots of black, (I'm thinking black walls or faux stonework), lots of overhanging beams for that bottom of the castle look.. Lots of candles, or those electric type ones for when candles are not appropriate for atmosphere. And a kick ass sound system of course. Perhaps a fridgerator with ice water and munchies for long scenes. The trick is to disguise it so it doesn't stick out and scream "Happy Hotpoint, circa 1950" in your pseudo 16th century decor.

A cross would be my first choice too. There is something deliciously evil about being in the cross, stripped naked, spread wide open, blindfolded... aching for that first touch of his hand, not knowing where it will be. Feeling a flogger being trailed over your bare skin in a sensual manner... wanting more, and more, and more.WriterDom said:

I have an iron four poster bed with a straight canopy type structure surrounding the top. It has so many possibilities...
I also like the idea of equipment being hidden or disguised throughout the house.

Oh, I can't forget the spanking bench!
We recently had the opportunity to play in a dungeon at a Bed & Breakfast (not kidding) and they had what I'd call the perfect spanking bench. It was padded on both the kneeler and top section, and had fixed rings where you could attach wrist and ankle cuffs. Comfortable for a long period of play, and the perfect height for an impromptu fucking.
Here's a picture of it...

Did you see the movie "Tomcats"...? The Domme librarian who cuffs the guy to the bed, then turns all wild, stepping out of the cute dress, having a leather corset underneath, zipping up the thigh high boots. She then cranks this huge crank, the bed seperates, and he is hung by his wrists (similar to the cross idea) as the walls behind him rises, revealing another room full of toys. The movie was worth it for that scene alone.
As for my dream dungeon.... I think I'd just like one of everything already mentioned.

yesterday ...
... while shopping at the local hardware store I got into the checkout line behind an attractive, demure young woman. She had 12 8 foot, 3" inch PVC pipes and 8 coupling joints. She didn't look like she was going to be plumbing and I felt the devil in me, so I asked her what was she was building. She blushed a little and I said, 'uh-huh, looks kinda naughty', and man, she turned crimson with blush. I wonder if'n she's been reading this thread.

So far our dungeon/bedroom has... tie downs at the corners of our waterbed, that tuck in between the mattress and frame... A toy chest that locks that is actually a "keepsake chest" for our toys... Just won an auction last night for a swing and portable frame (this should be fun)... Can't think of what else to add right now, but I'm sure we will come up with more in the future.
