And it wasn't the one I linked in the Dear X thread - THAT one needed £25k work on it >.< Instead we're buying one that's a little more expensive but we can move in pretty much straight away, except for the little bit of redecorating that needs doing (like taking the carpet OUT of the bathroom *shudder* and removing all the bloody artex).

But yay! Here's the info:

Hehe thankees. I'm bouncing around and thinking about paint colours, its helping distract me from the imminent stress...

That's cool news, I'm really happy for you. The best part is, I'm on the wrong side of the ocean to help. :p

*snerk* His parents live five doors down. We don't need help *giggle* Just hire a van and take our time.

Looks like a nice comfortable place. (I couldn't see the pictures last time I posted. Photobucket was doing maintenance.)

Congratulations again.

Finally got to see the photos and it looks great hon. I like the kitchen and the wood floor in the living room. Lol, though i would have to get rid of the pink carpet in the bedroom;)

Yeah, pink carpet *Shudder* but that's not a major concern - well, not as much as CARPET in the BATHROOM. Ugh! That's coming out asap. Gimmie tiles!

Its all in the hands of the solicitors now, so wish me speed and no bumps eh?

Thanks all

And the sister has officially been told. And is taking it a little too well.. this worries me...

That's a lovely looking place. The pink bedroom's a bit...pink, but I'm sure you could tone that down without too many worries.
Bathroom carpet is just silly. We had kitchen carpet in a house we rented - stupid stupid idea!

Congrats! Buying a house is one of the best moves you can make. Repairs can be expensive, but after quite a few years, you own a house instead of a stack of rent receipts.

*nods* I think that was what did it, we'd been looking at renting places for a while and in the end both sets of parents went "oh bugger that, lets go buy somewhere and you can 'rent' it." Basically, mortgage is in their name but we're paying for it (and have documents stating this fact juuuuust incase certain people decide to engage asshole mode later on)

congrats! All I can say is relax, take your time and decorate the way you want it to look.
