Western ideas

:)

So many ideas. Especially LGB ones since while it's not discussed much, the old west was quite queer. Whie it usually got blamed on there not being enough members of the opposite sex around, "friendships" between men were quite common and women would often share a bed with a favored female peer.

Some Native American tribes had nontraditional gender roles (your role was more determined by what you did) and lesbian and gay male relationships did happen. One tribe even had a tradition for women where they would make an effigy out of rope that served as a symbol of the child they would have had.

As for ideas:

1. The Wells Fargo wagon makes an accidental delivery of some lingerie to a woman in an old west town. The woman has never gotten to wear such nice fabrics before or such skimpy attire. Even the town brothel workers don't have such things. At first she engages in some self-exploration but when her friends become interested, she starts exploring more avenues of play (one want to know what the lingerie feels like and so instead of letting her wear the lingerie, the woman makes her strip and teases her with her stocking covered feet...which then leads to her dominating her friend).

...alternatively, a man gets the lingerie and a dress. He goes a similar route but when his friends find out, they become pretty interested in him cross dressing and he goes on to regularly servicing them.

2. In one town, ranching is big business and most of the menfolk are employed helping with the cattle. However, this leaves their wives and daughters quite a lot of alone time, especially when the cattle are taken down into the valley. Course, the women left behind will make sure to comfort one another, whether it's the wives and unattached women sharing beds or the mothers and daughters exploring and helping each others needs.

...of course out with only their coworkers and sons, the menfolk tend to get lonely too.

3. Minister's widow heads out with her family to a town where her sister lives. It's a recent boomtown and it turns out that her sister is a pretty prominent figure: she owns the brothel. Not having another place to go, the widow prays for divine protection, especially as she sees sin on every corner, whether it's men showing public displays of affection, women getting under each others skirts, or hearing some of the acts the brothel offers taking place right below her bedroom. How long can she and her family resist joining in?

Of course, since it's a boomtown, men and women from all walks of life are there and through small holes in the top floor, the widow and her family watch men and women of multiple races and backgrounds coming together in the most satisfying of ways.

I'll add more once I get some sleep. If you want a good laugh, check out an old west brothel menu. No subtlety to be found.

I've written a few western stories myself, maybe they will give you some inspiration.

Read some Louis L'Amour stories then add sex.

Women were scarce in the original West. Cowboys and women didn't have laundry facilities. Even water was scarce in many places.Except when wearing their best (or borrowed clothes) for a formal photograph most people would be dirty and smelly.

Setting a story in the bathhouse of a Western town could be interesting.

Remember - the good guy wears a white hat; the bad guy a black hat. Both are fast guns but the good guy is faster. The good guy always gets the girl, or if he doesn't he rides off into the sunset on a good horse.

Use your imagination, its fiction. Check out Sharon Stone in 'Quick and the Dead,' or the latest adult movie 'Rawhide' on Digital Playground. Women can be gunslingers too.
Check out my stories.

How about forbidden love between a ranch hand and an Indian woman? Or the other way around: the rancher's daughter falls in love with a tall, strong, but silent Indian brave?

Or have an ensemble cast with multiple stories set in the local saloon with all the usual characters: the barkeep, the piano player, the faro dealer, and of course the "sportin' women" upstairs.

Bounty hunting:

cattle rustler is wanted by the law and is fleeing for Mexico. He's carefully dodged bounty hunters and the law and just has one stop to make before he's across the border. He lays down for the night when suddenly he feels a gun barrel placed against his forehead. Now he's got to figure a way to keep from being dragged back for a hanging. Bounty hunter can be any gender

1. Bounty hunter figures the money they'd collect (after expenses) would barely cover a couple nights with a whore...so guy can save his ass by giving up his ass.

2. Bounty hunter travels back with him and as they get closer, they start to bond. Along the way, they get into other sexual hijinks (other bounty hunters, getting kidnapped by Native Americans, etc.) they end up parting ways at the end.

3. Guy has been traveling with his family. Bounty hunter might not be interested in him sexually but getting to have sex with his family while he watches? Now that might be enough to let him go.

And rough, leathered and haggard. More like a worn out Kitty Russel (Gunsmoke) than a hot classy blonde Lily Merrill (Lawman).

See, this is the problem I have if we're talking about a period western in the mid-late 1800s. There are no high class brothels. They're skanked out cowgirls, or enslaved Mexicans or Native Americans working in ramshackle buildings.

Maybe in San Francisco, you might find something nicer, but even places like Denver and Seattle were little more than junk towns for the most part with a few nicer areas owned by the cattle or railroad tycoons.

That's why it's called fiction.

What about native women in the west or native women with cowgirls. I'm also not sure if you'd consider writing about a native teenager servicing an older white woman ;teacher, nun, rescuer) in residential school; or a native mother (akin to desperate woman in The Sharecroppers Widow) letting herself be used by a social worker, maybe lovelessly married and closeted, or sheriff back then so they'd make an exception and exempt her from being required to send her children to residential school.

You're expecting realism in stories on THIS site?

I expect some kind of practicality.

In the two flicks, El Dorado and Rio Lobo the hot town whore (played by Charlene Holt and Angie Dickinson respectively) just kind of hangs out in lingerie waiting for the Hero (John Wayne in both) to make his move. She never seems to have any other customers either.
