I looked at the first page of the introduction thread and was surprised to see how many of us are bunched in near each other in West Virginia and Kentucky...well Indyweasel is close, too. Pretty cool I think. Must be from having nothing to do in a small town growing up other than drinking and having lots of sex way out in the country. No better place to do both things than the mountains of West Virginia!

Isn't there?????

A black hole there?

Do you have any teeth?

How many pairs of coveralls hang in yer closet?

You were those green and yellow rubber boots - all the time?

Don't you think is time to sell that old Fairlane?

The black hole is actually very far away, it was discovered by the radar telescope at Greenbank, WV

Teeth are very good

Coveralls can actually be very comfortable and a couple of years ago were stylish

Green and rubber boots only necessary when an out of stater starts spewing their typical bullshit

Why sell the Fairlane? It's in mint condition and worth nearly $88,000.

By the way, if you really want to lick Jaded's ass, be nice to her state!

hehehehe, nice answer Rambling Man

Yes, there are several of us and if you add Ohio and Indiana the number grows quickly.

I myself am in Kentucky, between the two large cities of Louisville and Lexington.

Hey.. Only us Hoosiers are allowed to pick on the KentUCKy hillbillies.

So leave them alone..

I don't know how I'll get away since I have a home based office. I'll have to let you know when I'll be out.

You owe me one too damnit when you come back to Kentucky! :)

To be honest, Louisville and Lexington would be too big for me. Charleston, West Virginia is too big for me, really. I used to live up near Philly, too so I know all about the great things involved in living near a big city. There are far more drawbacks than perks, though.

One of the best perks of living in the mountains is that every so often it snows so much you cannot get out and have a great excuse for missing school, work, whatever, for days. How often does that happen in the city?

The only thing I took away from my big city experience was my love for the Philadelphia Phillies.

Also, where else but the mountains do they have those kick ass music festivals. Hundreds or thousands of people crowding on someone's farm to hear rock, folk, gospel, whatever you like. Hippie chicks dancing around with next to nothing on, high on life (and one or more other things.) That is the shit there.

I like small towns myself. I live in a small community as well. I certainly value privacy. Although there is no hippie chicks here..
