West Coast/So Cal Get together anyone?

Seeing all these spiffy Europe based get togethers made me think it might be fun to have a get together here in CA? I know there's a lot of us from around this region.

Its a "gee that'd be fun" concept right now but might evolve into something nifty.

I'd try to get there. If it between Longview and Yreka chances are much better. San Francisco's good for me, too. I can stay with my grandma.

There's going to be one in the seattle area sometime soonish, which i'd be MUCH more likely able to attend - 3 hrs of driving vs 11? hmmm... Don't think I'd be able to make it, although I'd want to = (

maybe all the californians ought to just come to the washington one ^^

plus, hello, international airport. it doesn't get more official than an INTERNATIONAL airport. (welcome to the map, portland)

I would having a hard time convincing that I (or both) need to go to Cali but have no problem doing portland or seattle (living near seattle and LOVING portland). Portland just rocks and has gotten the clue on mass transportation etc which makes it such an easy city to take the train to, hotel, and bus around.

Portlands actually gotten awards cause of how great our public transportation system is. It's called tri-met cause the whole system covers three counties, and it's complely organized.

But more importantly - there's the Saturday Market.
