Unless I find a job before January of next year...I am most likely moving to the West Coast to live with my aunt for awhile while I look for work there. The job scene here in my area is dismal and NYC is crazy competitive plus I've lived here all of my life and I'm ready for a much needed change. I will be moving to Las Vegas so it's technically not the West Coast but close enough to me. At first I was scared of the thought but now I'm super excited. I would love to make some friends who live in the West Coast or near it. I know California is expensive too but it's worth a try, nowhere is perfect in this world. I am trying to be more positive than negative now. Anyway send me a PM if you want, I'd love to make new friends and hear any suggestions/advice.

Change is tough--especially a cross-country move. It takes guts to make that decision and follow through--I admire you for it.

Thank you dear! My aunt was kind enough to offer me the idea, at first I was hesitant since I really want to move to NYC but the city is crazy expensive and competitive so it will have to wait for now. I can always come back in the future. :)

It's pretty expensive in California too. But living with your aunt will help...if you need to talk to anyone about moving here give me a shout...

Like I said in my post I'll be living in Las Vegas with my aunt if I do go. :) I'll try California for jobs and scope it out...I'm also interested in Washington and Oregon.

I've even seriously considered Alaska. I'd just have to scope out the job market and visit to get a feel for it.

Economy is doing well in WA.

In WA here. Ecomony is doing well. It all depends on what you do. Tech stuff is up, other work is down.. Seattle area is generally up. Google, Amazon, med fields are all hiring. Need teachers badly.

Washington is amazing! Especially the Spokane area. Cheap living and jobs are ok. Check it out! :)

I'm a huge fan of Oregon and Washington. I am familiar with Vegas thru biz trips and vacation. The West is a fantastic place. Great days ahead for you!

Why so far? Move halfway across the country. ;)

What type of job? I have contacts in different fields in different states. I'll keep my eyes open
