Welcome to the Story Discussion Forum.

School and Universities are back in regular session. Parents are free to take pen/keyboard in hand.

What did you read this summer?

What writing are you working on?

Back: and silly projects abound...

Though I'm not a parent (yet) and still attending university, I decided to follow your suggestion to take my keyboard in hand, and I hope that you won't take this act the wrong way.

What I read this summer (ill-assorted and entirely partial):

  • Brief Interviews with Hideous Man by David Foster Wallace
  • Kiss of Death by Valentina Cilescu
  • The Fixation Of Belief, How to Make Our Ideas Clear (et al.) by Charles S. Peirce
  • Neuromancer by William Gibson
  • Inherent Vice by Thomas Pynchon
  • Art as Experience by John Dewey
  • Ueber Wahrheit und Lüge im aussermoralischen Sinne by Friedrich Nietzsche
  • Out of Error by David Miller
  • Walking by Henry David Thoreau
  • V. by Thomas Pynchon
  • Some hundred stories on Literotica...

What projects lurk in my mind:

  • Several papers for university
  • Revising (and/or reworking) three story drafts dating back some time by now
  • Fleshing out a story idea that came to me recently
  • An essay on criticism and comments
  • An English to German translation of An Aperture Apart
  • and so many more in the idea nooks of my imagination...

Let's roll...
