Have just come out of an eleven-hour lock down of suspect at large from a shooting on the University of Virginia grounds four blocks from my house. Heard the gunfire at 10:30 last night, but went to bed without knowing what it was about and without realizing that the shooter was still on the loose. From today's TV coverage so far, it seems the University administration and various level of police are handling this as well as possible within the crazy constraints gun nuts have established.

No. A case of someone with no business having a gun, especially on a college campus where they are prohibited, and with a prior undeclared conviction on a gun-use charge. I am not denying he shouldn't have had access to a gun. But he did. And nothing will change that. So sitting there and pointing a finger at Republicans will not solve the real issue. This is why I am frustrated at my Democratic party....all they do is whine and are not proactive. Only reactive.

Respect...or I should say....lack of respect is the real issue. Some people sit here are spit out their hatred. Others do it at work. Others hold it in and can deal with it. Others crack and lash out.

Since Americans don't want to solve the issues in a constructive way...they are left solving the problem in less than constructive ways. So focus on how to get society to be more respectful to those they disagree with. Or not. And just doing nothing but complaining on a porn board

Thanks to Covid, which the Republicans did nothing to curtail, I haven't been to my house in Key West for more than two years.
