I recently finished what is probably the longest story I ever wrote for this site, three pages.

It was the third and final chapter of my "Inhibitions out the Window" series.

I was tickled to see it accepted and posted, but when I opened it to check on my ever present typos I find MY title and MY name posted in "Incest/taboo" rather than "romance." With the wrong story?

The text was from another writer's story that WAS an
incest/taboo" story with the text from "Chaperone Mom 03." But under MY name and Title. That one posted, also under the same title and is still posted, as "Romance"...???

I sent an email to staff, explaining. They pulled the story, thank you. Then returned it to MY files with the same "incest/taboo" text, not mine.

With a "rejection" and link to volunteer editors. Even more fun was watching the read count increasing in my files for a story I didn't write and don't have posted, finally at 2,189 reads I just deleted it.

Can't happen, right? K...Someone explain how it did happen.

I sent two emails to staff, zero response.

I suppose it's NBD, but I don't think I need a volunteer editor since I write professionally, although I doubt my "How to" type articles for the Automotive industry would fare well here. My Marketing newsletter wouldn't do well either, I don't think.

Yea, I know. Canned message.

It's a bit frustrating. I suspect the original story I wrote is now gone, and I cannot re-create that. Thoughts come and I type, I have never been able to recreate anything. Way it is. I write material like this for me. The other stuff gets me some regular small checks.

It would have been nice to receive a simple "We are sorry" but nope.

Nothing, Not a single thing.

I had two other stories pending that I was working on, so I just deleted those also. I am pouting, it just might be awhile before I write anything more for fun.

OK, for starters, I believe it is easier to get a response if one sends a PM to Laurel or Manu, rather than an e-mail as they get snowed under with those.

Secondly I don;t understand how you lost your story? Didn;t you keep a copy on your HDD? What about the programme you wrote it in (eg - MS Word) didn;t that automatically save a copy? Why have you lost the story completely?

I'm sorry you're having a bad experience, but Lit is massively busy and admin errors do occur occasionally. Normally they get sorted out just fine, it's a pity this isn't one of those cases. I really would recommend PMing Laurel or Manu and asking for help, they're usually very good.

Best regards

Email does nada, unfortunately. I think the site gets too much spam messages to respond to emails.

PM Laurel. She runs the site. She'll be able to help.

I didn't get any response to my PM to Laurel in regards to a broken link to one of my stories, but the problem did get fixed.

How can you lose a story? I realize you can accidentally delete it, or your computer can crash, but you should still save a backup copy on a floppy or CD. Surely, nobody cuts and pastes to submit a story. It's just as easy to copy and paste, and a lot safer.

I posted a story early this month, "Strider Gets Her Tail" but found an error in it that would mean the sequel that I intended just silly. I submitted an edited version, "E Strider Gets Her Tail" with a note that it was an edited version of a story that had been posted. It got posted under that name, so the same story was posted twice. I pointed out, in a PM, that this was the case, so the eidted version was posted as a new story and the posted story was deleted. I decided to let well enough alone, and not say anything.

I didn't lose my story. I just go to this site, sign in, type and if I think it's done I hit submit. No programs in my computor, I just use the website.

Of course for this story almost two weeks passed before someone at literotica reviewed and then attempted to post it.

That was when it popped up with my title and name but someone else's text. Since the story was by "pantylvr" and my title was from me, it was nonsensical.

Nonsensical because my series was a romance thing about a guy who can't tell that he is in love even though it is practically tattooed on the end of his pecker, the wrong text opens with Mom and her Daughter playing with Daddy's you know what?

I emailed literotica, I know they recieved that because they pulled the story and returned it to my online files. I also notice they changed the "Chaperone" story from romance to loving wives?? So yep. They tried to fix it.

EXCEPT the story they returned to MY files as "rejected, go learn to spell" was not mine. It was that other one. My text was gone.

I have no way to recover what I wrote.

The really weird part was I opened it in my files, waiting to see if they would correct it. The read count number was going up every time I looked. That meant that anyone who opened the story "Chaperone Mom Ch 03" was posting a count number to MY pending files????

To my REJECTED pending files???

K...Can't happen, right?

Did too.

At 2,189 reads and a 2.33 rating I got fed up and deleted it myself. I also went into one of my snits and deleted ALL of the rest of the stories I had in review. I was afraid they might try to fix them.

Boy, I bet they care about that, right?

Literotica responded to my complaint, they just responded wrong.

I believe the term is that common human disease called "Cranuius Rectumitus."

Probably someone doing the posting onsite that morning was on a phone sex line or something. Or it's hard to type with slippery fingers?

Oh, well.

I did write two more stories though. Both were accepted. Just on a different site.

Nanner, nanner, nanner!

I is still in a snit!! No apology. I got one coming. Dang near as bad as when they changed my subtitle and can't spell. I mean, HEY! Send the @#$%$#@!! thing BACK if they don't like it but don't change it and post it like I wrote that.

I say if they want to write CRAP that is fine with me but I can write my OWN damn CRAP, I happen to be GOOD at writing CRAP, I have YEARS of experience writing CRAP, so there!

So when Literotica screws up and posts my name to someone else's CRAP that is even worse than my OWN CRAP???? (*least in MPOV)..

well...

I can't spell either but I will misspell my OWN stuff, thank you.

*Snif......

*Pant, pant...

I got three bandaids on my leg where I was biting myself and the Cat won't come in but I will get over it.

I can't imagine writing directly into that tiny text box. It's smaller than the forum post reply box! You can't see three sentences at a time!
