Well, it's that time of year again.

I've never seen a skunk in Florida, though I suppose there are some. Florida roadkill is mostly possum.

I've lived in Florida most of my life and skunks are few and far between. No idea why. As for roadkill I would vote more armadillos over possums. However both is dam fine eating if you scrape them up in less than a week old dead. :D

Our roadkill is very diverse.

You have, first off, always squirrel, followed (in order of volume) by possum, skunk, cat, possum on the half-shell*, dog, snake, hawk and owl.

And that's just the small stuff...

* I hate those little fuckers because they tend to launch up into your grill.

Armadildoes can be fun, I'm told. ;)

They are good to eat. They are considered a delicacy in the far east. A long time ago I looked into setting up an Armadillo farm for the purposes of exporting the meat. That turned out to be problematic. First of all handling armadillo's is associated with leprosy. They can dig through pre-stressed concrete making captive breeding pens really expensive. And they have some really strange breeding properties. ie. The female can hold onto the fertilized egg for up to 2 years before allowing it to mature. (Meaning you can't reliably forecast market availability.) Also every litter is identical quadruplets. Weird animals.

Spring is springing and the local skunk population is out in force. Their 'perfume' permeates the still morning air.

The adults are out seeking amor while last years skunklet's are scouting for territory to call their own. The new pets in the area, and those with long term memory problems are having to learn/relearn the blessings of screwing with skunks. This should last about a month.

I was thinking, tax season. I was sure that you were going to opine that the skunk-in-chief was going to silence all the libtards by releasing his 2016 tax return. Ya know, since it's not under audit and like American tax payers like me have a right to know if he pays his fair share.

What would his "fair share" be?

How does that differ from, say, your "fair share?"

What happens if you put that (peroxide) on a black dog? Does it turn it gray?

No. Until this past year (when one passed away0 I had three black dogs. Two black and tan dachshunds and a 130 lb black mutt. I washed all three of them in the mixture and none of them got bleached.

First off, his comment was TIC, but you cannot leave the solution on them for any extended period of time lest it burn them...
