Yes, it has finally happened!

Literotica has just turned into another typical sex site. Use to be you could come here and engage in a lot of thoughtful discussions. You could engage in subtle and intelligent flirting. You could get into some good old down and dirty shouting matches with other members of the board.

Use to be that no matter what the subject at least you had quite of few intelligent people that were involved in the discussion. People that could think and offer all of us some type of thoughtful amusement for the day. Well, those days seem to have passed us by.

All that seems to be left are a bunch of stupid insipid threads, day after day, started by people that don't have the ability to think beyond their zippers. There is no more intelligent or subtle banter. Just a bunch of idiotic displays of juvenile emotions. Seems as if the average age of this place has dropped to somewhere in the early 20s.

Yep, this place has finally become what all other sex boards are. Juvenile and Insipid! With most of the intelligent members leaving.

Yeah, but you two don't fit the profile. At least you guys can generally get into some intelligent discussions. And when you do flirt its not the stupid, in-your-face "Hey, you wanna fuck?" type of flirting. That seems to be about all that remains here these days.

And if you registered before this past summer, odds are you are not who I had in mind. Nowadays, the goal of this place is to see how many posts you can run up in a day or a week or two. Blathering idiots is what most of them are!

You seem well spoken yourself. If you're not registered, why not register and start a few threads of your own? If you are registered, hmmmm, I think the answer is the same. Start a few threads, contribute to ones that interest you, ignore the ones that don't. But also a question for you- why post under a guest name? It is okay to criticize something if you do it politely and it is constructive with the intent to improve. You could do that under your "real" name here.

I regestered in July

and I think that I have had some intelegent converstions with fairly new folks in the past week. I was surprised that my capitol punishment thread didn't get much traffic. I attributed it to election burn out. This Florida thing has those of us of normally would be all over each other, distracted to the point of indiference about much else. I certainly don't think that is the case. Granted there are a lot of threads that are mostly devoted to flirting, but that has been true ever since I registered. And the flirting is usually clever. I don't see a lot "Hey, let's fuck" threads. Should I start one?

A BLACK DAY, you sound just like I did when I once wrote the thread, "THE MOOD IS ABOUT TO CHANGE". I had similar augument. While yours is of idiotic type threads, mine was of the epidemic of ass kissing that was occurring in almost every thread/posts that I read in the BB. Much like your thread, I got quite a few responses within the first half hour after posting it (2 pages to be exact). Much like you mentioned of past threads, it brought out some "knock down-drag out" defensive posts. Alot of Literoticans disagreed with the thread and I actually had a handful of backers.
***I've been registered here for over a year, so far (mostly under another name). You write as if you've been visiting this site for a while now but yet, you're not registered here. I agree with alot of the Literoticans and would suggest that you submit a thread or two that interest you. No offense but chances are that the subjects may have been discussed already. But what the hell? Give it a shot. You're right, I've seen some out of this world subjects in the thread too. But I simply ignore it and move on to something that brings a trickle of interest out of me.

Literotica hasn't "become" anything. It's doing what it's always done, go through its various cycles.

Yes, right now we're in one of those dull, "Hey, ya wanna fuck? Tee-hee!" cycles, which is why I (for one) haven't been positng that much. I log on and find thread after thread of people winking at each other's genitalia and posting yet another cartoon of Fred fucking Betty and I think, "I just have nothing to say here."

But I'm not leaving, and I'm not going to bitch about it (much). I'm just going to wait, because this too shall pass, and soon we'll be in a political cycle or religious cycle or troll cycle or importan personal issues cycle.

I haven't posted an intelligent thread myself lately, so maybe I will, but, honestly, I'm not worried about it. The board doesn't need saving.
