I am going to Dallas Saturday and spending the night and coming home Sunday morning or afternoon.

What to do about my kitten? Should I take her along?
Should I leave her here (with plenty of food water and AC)?
Or should I let my neighbor who loves cats and kittens take her for the night?

I don't know what I should do and I have never been in this position before.

Taking her with you or over to a strange house could be very stressful. Since it's only a day or so, I would leave her in her own surroundings. Leave a radio on to keep her company and have a plan in case something happens or you can't get back on time.

She will be fine with extra water and food.

Make sure that you leave the air on and that her litter box is clean.

Have your neighbor pop in and play with her while you are out.

Leave a radio or tv on so that it isnt too quiet.

Kittens can become stressed easily when its quiet.

Kittens can be destructive while left alone,so dont be angry if things are tore up.

Since she's still so small, I'd either leave her with someone or I'd take her with me. If you take her, she should be in a cat carrier for her own safety. How does she do in a car would be my question if you decide to take her. We had cat that actually had to be sedated for long trips.

When we go away for a couple of days, we hire a local service to come in and feed our cats. They also bring in the mail, check out the house to make sure everything is fine and play with them if they are in the mood. But for one day your kitten should be fine. Just leave some toys out and extra food.

I'd have the neighbor check in on the cat. They can get into so much trouble on their own. When I'm away, mine always likes to sleep on something that has my scent on it. Even though he's getting older, he's still a big baby :)

Cars and cats don't always mix. I know of three cats that travel by car frequently and they all react differently. One bawls the entire way (and 5 hours of that is torture), the second one gets skittish, and the third one is comfortable as can be.

I agree

With sabbath storm on this one.

Leave her at home with food, water, love and someone to check in. She will be fine.

PS: The new position you are in might have to do with your camera being on it's side.
