Well, I finally got pussy for Xmas !

Congrats Siren.

Kittens are so adorable. My two have outgrown that stage but still love to play.

It doesn't matter that he cuddles with Wolfy now, its who he's going to cuddle next to in bed when he's lonely for his mama.

My two are waiting for the new lizard that's coming for my son's Xmas present. I swear they're licking their lips. :D

Enjoy your new kitty.

I love the kitty in the swing

:p

DAMN! I've been looking for my second cat all day Siren. Did you come by while I was gone today?

Well lil wolfy

:p

well I guess tha'ts YOUR problem now then, isn't it? That'll teach ya! :D

well I guess Big WOLFY
can take care of his lil pussy wolfy then.

Yep, stick to the rules. Here is a picture of my kitties. The tabby is Laurie with double paws, devil in disguise. Looks like the kitty in the swing, but doesn't act quiet like that.

Ahhhhhh too adorable

:p

what do yu mean by double paws?

She has an extra thumb on each of her front paws, six instead of five. And kitties that have those are KNOWN to be bad bad bad. Extra genes and all that I guess. ;)

I had a cat that had those extra paw thingies

:p

Those cats have been in the news lately in this area. We have a toxic hot spot here and a local woman was in the paper with her cat. He has 23 "fingers" and is appropriately named Mittens. Apparently polydactyl cats are very common on the east coast of Canada. I'm not sure about the eastern U.S. but maybe some other board members could share that info.

Only problem is.......

the kitten is a boy
so cant be called SIREN

so renamed him from 'chief'
( I mean Phuleasee ....what an awful name)
to renamed as

WOLFY.

You're right, Siren. Chief is an awful name for a cat. I don't like housecats--only big cats--so I'm pleased you didn't name it after me. ;)

Now, when you bring home a pet lion, Chief would be a proud name for the proud cat. :p

Exactly!

Lions, tigers, leopards, cheetahs, bobcats, lynxes, and panthers are all cool. Housecats are not so cool.

I had a cat once. Jedi was evil. :p

Siren...people don't "own" cats, cats "own" people. enjoy though, once you feed him he'll know who the boss is.

I had a cat once with 7 toes on each of his front paws. He loved to sit up on his hind legs and box. His name? "Mohammed Ali", "Mo" for short.

The cat I have now is named "Motor" because when she purrs, you can hear her clear across the room.

Demons, they're ALL demons!.......

I've been telling you guys and gals. They're all soul-sucking demons! YOU don't own cats. THEY own you!

I am currently owned and operated by TWO of the little soul suckers at present. (Guess they figured I needed close watching):D

Seriously, my female cat, Roxanne, is definitely a MAN'S cat and will not have a thing to do with females other that to tolerate them to feed her. She usually sleeps on my chest or curled up inside my left arm. Some cats are just like that. I have had both kinds over the years some preferring the Mrs., sometimes me.

So, maybe you should go back and let one pick YOU out this time! :)

And when do we get to see pictures of the new addition? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

Siren, I know where you're coming from. Here's my lameass opinion on it: cats are really sensitive to smells. The ones I've dealt with aren't too keen on florals or the smells that go into body creams, makeup, etc. Women tend to be more "smelly" in this regard than men. Aiko used to shun me after I bathed because I wore scented body oil. Once I changed to an unscented version, she quit running from me as much.

You may want to try wearing one of Wolfie's shirts while holding the kitty. Don't force him to be with you. If he jumps out of your lap and sits in his, go over and pet him while he's in Wolfie's lap. Get a package of Pounce treats, and give him a treat whenever he does come to see you. Resist the urge (all too human) to withhold attention from the little guy. Pet him, love him. Play with him. Eventually, he'll come around to be your little pal. He may still be Wolfie's little guy, but he can be yours as well. And after a while, you two may decide that little Wolfie needs a female kitty as a companion, and she'll bond to you. :)

I know this is a cat thread and I'm a dog person BUT...

...things could be worse. I have a 71 lb dog who thinks it's his right to sit on my lap. It's not fun to deal with that!!!

When I moved to this state, I stayed with friends for five months and their cat "adopted" me right from the start. She rarely would come out from hiding when someone new was in the house, but I was the only person whose lap she would sit on. (I seem to have the opposite affect on human women!)

Ms. Whisker Face,,,,,,,,,,

:p

Congrats! Now you need another, a female, and you're all set. Siren and Wolfie in real life. :)

He has been on me,
but he really adores Wolfy.

I mean,
it is almost a gay thing.

:p

No, it's a male bonding thing. I always connected better with a girlfriend's cat if it was male. Get another kitty. A girl next time. Most are happier with "cat" company.

WD, I will try for a girlie next time but

:p
