Four weeks later, Will emerges from compiling a report on Maladministration at the request of the UK Department of Work and Pensions. It was never meant to be this difficult.

Tomorrow - a new phase begins. We (Medics and me) attempt to find out why the nerve signals in my legs are deteriorating. The nerve signals are down to 1/3rd of normal in the left leg (from 15 microamps to 5 microamps). From time to time, there is no signal... and I fall over

I'm not expecting anything other than a time horizon for when I become wheelchair bound.

Still, that is not the end of the world. i figure it is better to know than not to know.

Incidently... can anyone point me in the way of a Shereads posting, nothing licentious (I don't think it's mutual ;)) but I'd like to know the Southern Missy is alive and well... surviving.

A dear friend of mine had a nerve problem that was debilitating and agony. His MD tried everything, put him on meds that made him comatose most of the time, and finally gave up. But he tried acupuncture and hypnosis and herbs and everything.

He finally learned of a surgeon who treated the problem, interviewed the surgeon, and submitted to a simple operation. The surgeon drilled a hole in my friends skull and cut a nerve. End of pain. End of meds.

So there may be hope for you if you can find the medic with the expertise you require.
