Press Release

Diplomatic Note No: 5067

Her Britannic Majesty's Government having passed the Act of Reconciliation in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the American War of Independence, and having widely publicised the opportunity for Americans to re-join the United Kingdom as full British Subjects with Citizenship, would like to make the following statement:

As the response to Her Britannic Majesty's Government's unprecedented offer was disappointingly low and

In view of the forthcoming French celebrations on the occasion of their national day on 14th July:

Her Britannic Majesty's Government wishes to formally announce that the offer to American citizens is hereby withdrawn with immediate effect.

It is now the attention of Her Britannic Majesty's Government to approach the Government of the Republic of France with a view to adapt the Act of Reconciliation in order to include the 934 years of hostile history between our two nations and then formally repeat the original offer made to American citizens to the Government of Canada whereas all Canadian citizens will have the opportunity to become either citizens of the Reublic of France or British subjects with citizenship of the United Kingdom.

In other words America...

YOU'VE BLOWN IT!

Her Britannic Majesty's Government would like to avail itself of this opportunity,

To remain at all times

Your obedient Servant

HBMG

It's actually the 225th anniversary, Peeps, but I'm sure they don't teach the American Revolution in British schools much.

I think I speak for all my countrymen on the board here when I say how filled with regret I am that we can't once again become an overtaxed colony of England without Parliamentary representation.

ahhhh, the good ol' days...

No wonder you're so fucked up... you think it's 2026!

See... you can relax now!

Ya British Arrogant Bastard...

thid?...thid?...

...THIS...it's meant to be THIS...

God where do the staff come from nowadays?

Wait... is this one of those "12 Monkeys" things? Are you trying to get to 2026?

Some sort of global catastrophe? Something?

Well... I guess we're all screwed...

Way to go, genius! Global annihilation... because someone fucked up the math!

~giggling wildly~ Oh pman, it's not that we dislike your arrogant, uptight, pretentious, watching-the-fading-glory-that-was-Britannia attitude or don't respect the honor you're attempting to do us by inviting us (disinviting us, now) back into the fold 225 years after we kicked your asses out of this country for good. Oh no. It's just that there's no way we're ever going to be a ruled people again. We're cowboys, every last one of us: freedom-loving, open-range inhabiting, gas-guzzling, leaders of the free world cowboys.

Well thank god the offer is gone. I would prefer to stay in a country where you can still bear arms........

And British make some crappy beer anyways...

I get all tingly when you Americans get on your high horse about how 'freedom loving' you are after, how many years of slavery?

...the laugh will be all ours...

...horsey or not, when the French accept our offer and the Canadians become citizens over here again and then...

You'll Be Surrounded...

We'll get you back somehow or my names not p_p_man!!

Look at that...

... a tapeworm that's irked by American hypocrisy.

Crikey! Time to take me mum to Shropshire for tea and crumpets and then catch the Watford-Manchester City nil-nil draw. It'll be smashing.
