Please see OOC: Purgatory Inn if you wish to join the tale. thanks ]https://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=207491

The phone an incessent nagging ring torments the secretaries outside the dark lady's office. So many curious patrons and so many reservations. La Sombra watches her staff work diligently keeping the vast halls and rooms of the Inn filled to capacity. The dedication of her staff never ceasing to amaze her.

She steps back into the cool, dark confines of her office, the heavy oak door completely cutting the sounds off, leaving her sanctum blissfully quiet. The busy season was just beginning and this new rash of doorways was a heavy concern weighing down the dark lady's mind.

Unintentional guests was something every Inn in the same dimensional class as the Purgatory were bound to have. It was just that there seemed to be far more then usual lately, and for the life of her, La Sombra did not know why.

Many of her staff had reported freakish occurances usually resulting in the appearence of an uninvited guest. One had even been from the Night Lands realm, the world of Vampires. That accidental visitor's appetite had been quite great. La Sombra finds her thoughts immersed in the past, remembering the losses of that night, and the cost of her staff forever changed and doomed to roam the Night Lands.

It was all she could do to control guests of that nature, she dreaded the thought that there might be so many more surprises yet to come. The Purgatory Inn was most definitely in flux.

Growing pains perhaps.
"Well, no further time to dwell," she murmered to herself scooping up the registrations for the day. After all she had guests to greet

OOC: This isn't a vampire. He's a tigarian. (He looks like a tiger walking on his back legs.)

He just appears on the street outside the inn. He's wearing a full-length black leather cloak. He stand about seven foot eleven and has extremely broad shoulders. The cloak covers his entire figure, showing only the black toes of his military combateboots. There is no sign of his face behind the hood of the cloth. He strides in the door, ducking to avoid the frame. He keeps his cloak on and walks over to the desk.

"I'm looking for some information and possibly a room."

Front Desk

The girl at the front desk is quite startled by the strangers appearance seeing as a few moments earlier there had been no one on the road to the main hall. Shaking her head as if to clear the cobwebs she smiles up at the very tall gentleman.

"Welcome to the Purgatory Inn Sir, one of the finest Interdimensional establishments in all the 5 sectors." She smiles at him brightly before continuing. " As you may or may not know this establishment has a reputation as being one of the best locations of bodily pleasure known to all the charted dimensions. I do hope we can acomodate you. " Finishing her spiel she pauses to sip her water then continues.

" Now what sort of information are you looking for. I may not be able to assist, but if not, I'm sure I can find someone here who can. Perhaps even the Lady of Shadows herself can help." the help desk clerk looks to the cloaked man inquisitively.

He lowers his hood. His face is covered in white fur, broken only by a few small stripes. His ears are on the top of his head, very pointed. His eyes are the blue slits of cat's eyes. He has the round head of a tiger. His gloved hands are huge, becoming more like paws than hands.

"I'm trying to figure out where I am. I got caught by a wormhole on my home planet of Tigar. I'm looking for a room while I find a way home."

The girl behind the desk looks back, amazed by his good looks. It takes her a few minutes to recover and respond. He just smiles and waits politely.

Front Desk

Her training and years at the Purgatory should have been enough to prevent her reaction, but she couldn't help but pause staring at the feline man before her. She would never have dreamed such a being could be so beautiful, and it was her first time meeting a Tigarian.

"A wormhole you say? Oh that means your an unexpected guest. Shit, La Sombra is going to freak, that's the third one this week." she stops herself realizing she is speaking so unprofessionally before the guest.

"My apologies Sir, we have been experiencing some rather unusual occurances round here lately. First thing is first lets get you a room, and I'll see if I can locate a portal back to your world. Though chances are we will have to bring her Ladyship in on this one. If anyone knows dimensions it's La Sombra."

Typing into the computer she locates an open room on the first floor, next to the lobby. Quickly her fingers fly over the keys, and she hands the man a key and a brochure.

"Ok your in room 102, Sir. Your bill will be due upon check out. Please feel free to look over the literature as you can see we offer plenty of ammenities all for an additional cost of course. If you have any questions please feel free to call me here at the front desk. My name is Kassandra, I'll be glad to help you." Her eyes linger on his as she says this last bit, she can't help but wonder if his entire body is as furry as the rest of him appears to be.

The thought steals her breath, and she looks down in embarrassment her cheeks reddening.

"Oh and one last thing Sir, I'll tell La Sombra bout your situation. I'm sure she will contact you shortly."

"Thank you madam. That will work for now. I do have one other problem. I come from a society without any form of curency. I hope I can find some way to pay you for your generosity. I do owe you something for being so nice to me. Maybe you can come to my room later and we can discuss it."

She smiles at him. "Maybe."

"I would love to talk again with a woman as beautiful as you. Oh, and yes, I am this furry all over."

He quickly turns arround and strides off, before she has a chance to respond. He goes down the hall and opens the door to his room.

Now how did he know I was thinking that Kassandra pondered to herself as she watched the large lanky tiger man saunter off to find his room. Then lost herself to her duties, wondering if she should alert the great lady of this situation now, or wait.

"No time like the pressent," she mutters to herself as she lifts to phone to dial La Sombra's extension in the master office.
No form of currency where he is from, the Lady is definitely not going to be happy about that. Kass winced at the thought, not wanting to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately having no choice.

The phone rang to her boss's voice mail, and just as she was about to leave a message the Lady herself appeared at the desk, as if from thin air.

Kassandra gasped, shocked to see her employer appear so abruptly.

La Sombra

"I did not mean to startle you child. " the dark lady speaks in dulcet tones, her expression as enigmatic as ever. " Do you have news for me?"

"Yes Ma'am" The desk clerk responded hastily knowing how the Great Lady does not like to be kept waiting. "There was another unexpected guest this afternoon, a Tigerian. He said something about a worm hole."

"Hm" , La Sombra looked thoughtful, her dark eyes heavily lidded. "I see, so I suppose we will have to work out some sort of barter and trade for his stay. As I recall they have no need for money, and do not believe in such currency. Archaic notion really, but to each his own."

"Yes Ma'am he mentioned as much." Kass thought she had better leave out his offer to visit his room, figuring that since she wasn't a talent on staff, the dark lady might not be too thrilled to hear about that. "He also said he could use some assistance finding his way back."

The Lady once again nodded a response, that thoughtful expression never leaving her face. "Yes I'll see what I can find in the ancient texts, I don't happen to know off hand what doorway is his. Oh and it might be a good idea for you to take him up on his offer, it's a chance of a lifetime to spend some "quality" time with a Tigerian." La Sombra's expression turned smug as she spoke.

Kass could feel the blood rushing to her face. "uh uhm, yes ma'am, I uh will consider it." How could she possibly know.

back in the room

The Tigarian slowly opens the door and steps in, his hand on a hilt hidden under his cloak. He slowly steps in and sniffs the air. Smelling no one there, he steps in. He leaves the lights off because of his abilities to see. He slowly studies the room.

He sees a large chair and a huge four poster bed. He sees a closed door but smells the distinct odor of a bathroom. he sends a mental probe in and finds it has a huge jacuzzi with more than enough room for himself and at least two other Tigarians, by far the largest he has ever heard off.

He reaches out and grabs the clasp of his cloak and slowly takes it off. He hangs it on the hook by the door and the hook bends, showing the weight of the special metal that makes it up. He then turns his attention back to the room.

His torso is filled with blades. A sword hangs from each side of his waist and his belt is full of daggers, going completely arround him. Knives and daggers cross his entire front and most of his back on his leather shirt. Two star like weapons sit on oposite sides of his lower back. Two belts of throwing stars cross across his chest looking like a pair of crossed suspenders. Daggers surround his legs. His back is full of throwing knives.

La Sombra

Leaving the front desk the lady of shadows heads for the chief of securities main office, hoping to catch Lars in. Having such an upswing in unexpected guests has put La Sombra on edge and she wants to be sure security has a handle of keeping tabs on everyone. She sighs in frustration as she draws closer to his rooms, she cannot sense his aura anywhere near by.

Failing in her attempt to locate the Security Chief she heads back towards her own offices. Heading up the main hallway she pauses outside of the room designated for the Tigerian. She contemplates interupting him for a round of questioning regarding this worm hole, but decides to let him rest instead. After all on the list or not, he was a guest.

Not wishing to be interrupted on the way back to her rooms, the lady makes a few short gestures in the air, and becomes one with the inky shadows leading up the hallway. Virtually invisible to most eyes. She seeks solace within the gloom, taking these preciuos short moments to relax as she casually strolls the long halls. Before once again immersing herself in the buisness at hand.

Front Desk / Kassandra

Watching the Dark Lady leave, Kass breathes a sigh of relief. It was difficult for her to be so close to someone so obviously powerful for any length of time without feeling nervous. Catching her breath, her mind drifts back to the Tigarian. He hadn't given his name, she couldn't help wondering what it was.

Lost in daydreams, Kassandra was once again terribly starteld, this time by Corbin the Night Desk Clerk.

"Whoa there Kass, I was just on my way in, I thought you'd be happy to see me not scared." He said with a good natured chuckle. Blushing furiously she responded "Sorry Corb, it's just been one of those days" He nods sympatheticly. "I know how it is my dear, but now your work day is through so why doncha head out, maybe grab a bite or something. I hear the kitchen is having a fabulous special this evening."

She pauses a long moment, "Are you sure you don't need anything before I go?"
He shakes his head."Go on girl, have a good evening, do something fun for a change." He shoos her away and Kass finds herself free from desk duty, and unsure of her evening plans. She thinks back to what the Lady said regarding Tigerians, and begins to blush again.

Wonder what's gotten into her, Corbin thinks to himself as he watches Kassandra grab her purse and head off down the main Hallway.

Distracted her feet seem to carry her along of their own accord, she finds herself standing where only minutes before La Sombra herself had stood, right outside room 102, the Tigarian's room.
She reaches up to knock and pauses again, uncertain, and not wanting to be a bother

He stops suddenly. Someone of emense power is near. He mutters a word and disappears. He sends out a probe and finds a beautiful woman he has never seen before. That must be the owner.

He slowly reappears and heads towards the bathroom. He stops again as he hears hurried footsteps stop outside his door. He smiles as he realizes its the girl from the front desk and she is hesitating to open his door. He silently dashes over and quickly puts back on his cloak, hidding the weapons and his camo pants.

HE opes the door as Kassandra reaches up to knock. "Hello again. I see you decided to take me up on my offer. Come on in."

Kassandra

She pauses an indefinable time in the Tigerian's doorway, her face burning a bright blush. This is not normal for her, fraternizing with guests, but the Great Lady herself even knew, but it did not erase the sense of unease in Kassandra.

"I uh, uhm..." she begins trailing off, as he once again motions her inside. Not wanting to appear rude she enters his lavish suite, momentarily bewildered by the luxury of the room. "Wow, I've never actually been in one of these rooms until now." Her eyes were wide taking it all in.

After a few awkward minutes of standing gawking, Kass attempts to regain her composure. "Err uhm, I just wanted to let you know, I've discussed your situation with the Dark Lady and she is going to see what she can do to speed you on your way back to your home world, Mr. uh.. Mr. uhm....I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name earlier."

She realizes how ridiculas this must sound considering she had checked him into this very room earlier. She then realizes the tigerian had bewildered her so much with his pressence, she hadn't even written a name on his registration card.

He softly chuckles. "You didn't catch my name because you didn't ask for it. I guess I should have realized that. My name is Santrar Butariath. I doubt you have heard of me, though where I come from my name is extremely well known. You see, I'm an assassin. The wormhole hit me when I was on the run. I think I'm somewhere arround seven or eight demensions farther away than my teachers thought it was possible to travel.

"Although I am a Tigarian, I have never seen my homeworld. I didn't even know what I was until that last world. evidentually, my previous employer had met one of my race before. He was scared to death of me, so I didn't get much from him. I think he might have been why I was discovered and why they were after me."

As he speaks, he gently reaches over and guides Kassandra over to the chair. She sits for some reason, intrigued by what he is saying. She trusts him more than she knows she should trust an assissin. He knows she won't tell anyone other than her boss what is being said. It would take someone with that kind of power to release what he says from her. but not even her boss can un-work the spell. Kassandra will be able to tell her boss anything said here.

"Thank you for being so kind to me, Kassandra. I should have told you I'm slightly telepathic, and you keeps sending me some very powerful messages. Now, how can I repay you for everything you have done for me?"

Kassandra

An assassin, Kassandra's mind could barely get around the idea. This handsome creature before whose eyes were like pools of evergreen twilight, was a ruthless killer. Yet something fit with this like pieces of a puzzle. Still, an assassin.

As he spoke she continued to watch him in utter fascination, the momvement of his jaws and the flash of razor sharp ivories. The way his eyes would flash to accent his words. She felt closer to this strange beast man then she'd ever felt with anyone else since coming to the Purgatory.

His compliments to her kindness strike a chord however, and she almost bursts into tears. "I'm not nearly as kind as you might think," she blurts out as her eyes can no longer hold back the torrent threatening to spill over. "You see it's like this." she takes a deep breath before beginning, then steeling her shoulders she faces the Tigarian and begins her story.

"When I originally applied for a job here at the Purgatory, I wasn't applying for the front desk position." her tears abate as she speaks, her eyes holding a serious yet sad expression. "I wanted to be one of the Artists that the Great Lady hires to service her clientelle. If you read the brochure, I'm sure you now what sort of artist I'm talking about." She glances at him to see if he is following, and realizes from his expression he hasn't read the brochure.

Her face reddens as she explains. "I was applying to become a sexual artist. Everyone on my home plane wants to study beneath the Great Dark Lady, it is the highest honor in our society. It was all I ever wanted to be, all I ever wanted to do from the time I was old enough to understand." she pauses again, snuffling softly. The assasin touched by the outpouring from the young lady, hands her a tissue.

She contineus. "I interiviewed with several levels within the Inn's hiarchy, but the final decision came down to the Great Lady herself. It was then that I learned of my affliction. It is rare amoung my people, but I have Xenophobia, a terrible unreasonable fear of alien races. I mean I'm ok, if they look human, like me, but . . . " she broke down again, fresh tears staining her face and emphasising her shame.

Biting back her sobs she finishes. "La Sombra knew right away, and in this buisness a phobia of that nature is crippling. I couldn't work as an Artist, unless I learn to tame my fear. So she gave me a job at the desk checking folks in. I've been there for about 5 years now, only recently have I been able to control my reactions around the more alien of our guests. To be honest your the first outsider I've ever found an attractive" Her face burst forth a fresh blush at this admission.

"So unless you can cure my phobia, I'm afraid there is very little you can do for me." her eyes red rimmed and nose slightly pink, she looks at him with a pitiful little smile, yet there is hope behind her expression.

Helping a new friend

"Well Kassandra, I'm actually a virgin so we would both have something to learn. My profession and alien looks have never given me the time or female to have any relationship with. I have always wanted to wait for the right moment but I'm tired of waiting. I'm more than willing to help you."

Oh no, what am I doing? I doubt she is the right woman for me. She's not even a Tigarian!!! But She is so beautiful and needs some help. I guess its time I found out the truth about women. I am twenty years old after all.

Even with his trepidations, Santar start to be more than willing to give into her great looks. He stands up and throws off his cloak. Kassandra is amazed at all the weaponry crossing his torso. "Wow, you carry lots of weapons."

"I need to. I never know what kind of a situation I'll get into. I try to be prepared for every possibility."

Santar stands up and spread his arms out from each side and closes his eyes. All the weapons come off, buckles un-buckling and the all fly over to the bed. The blades stick to the ceiling, pointing out from the bed towards the room. The belts with the throwing stars hang on the wall to each side of the head of the bed. The star-like objects on his back stick to each side of those.

"Much better. Now, shall we get down to trying some new things out?"

"You have got to be kidding me, I came all the way here for this?", Derrick says as he walks into the Purgatory, to find no immediate threats, no demons, no vampires, no nothing, just a bunch of nothing. "A complete waste of my time, oh well, better have a look around anyways", Derrick said as he patted his M-16, which he held in his hands. He was dressed unusually tonight, he carried his assualt rifle by hand, unsual for him since he doesn't like carrying large objects without a good reason. He wore a heavy battle outfit, a black leather trench coat, Oxford street black shoes, black jean pants, a shirt with an Angelic symbol in the middle and black leather gloves.

He walked around, completely ignoring the two other people there, the Tigarian was clearly not of this world, but still, he ignored the person, until he set eyes on him. "Say, you wouldn't have seen a big ugly tiger person walking around would ya? Oops, I did it again, restated the obvious", Derrick said as he smirked, insulting the tiger-like creature, but not meaning any harm by it, it was only a joke. Derrick checked the walls, demons can use camoflauge well, so he rubbed his hands against the walls just to be sure.

"Not a damn thing, never a damn thing. I might as well give up, there's nothing here at all, just another waste of my time, I grow weary of this", Derrick said, and he had every right to be disappointed, he was called her by an unknown tip, someone told him that there were more demons and vampires here then he could shake a stick at. And it would seem that they were wrong, or so Derrick thought. He turned to Kassandra, seeing her nice figure, and trying to use some his sweet talk to get some information out of her. "Hello there, sexy, young, beautiful. I only got one question, what the hell are you doing in a place like this? You should be in a billion dollar mansion, living like a queen or at least a super model. Say sweet cakes, you wouldn't have seen anything unusual around here have you? Besides old Mr. Thundercat over there?", Derrick said as he joked about the tiger creature over there. "Or maybe you know something. Tell me, whatever happen to your base? Did Mumra ever destroy it?", Derrick said as he laughed, clearly showing a sign of humor, not wanting to insult the tigarian, just wanting him to laugh a little.

He went a bit far.

Derrick suddenly find himself shoved accross the floor to the oposite wall as Santrar leaps on him. One paw holds him to the wall, while the other holds a sword pointed at the center of his chest.

"How dare you make comments like that! I should kill you here! But I'm only a guest and I don't want to upset the host."

The Santrar's lips curl back in a snarl as he speaks.

No one in the lobby could follow the blur that was Santrar attacking Derrick because he was so fast. The sound of Derrick hitting the wall caught most of the lobbies attention.

Kassandra

Completely caught off gaurd by her recent confession to Santrar and the unexpected interuption of a strangely garbed man bursting into room 102, Kass found herself in the middle of what was possibly going to be one ugly brawl.

Where the hell was Corbin, why hadn't he assisted this obviuosly unintentional guest.

"Wait! Please Wait, this must be some misunderstanding. No violence is necessary and besides it really pisses the Dark Lady off." She shouted at the brawling men. At a loss of anything more to say.

"Please. . . Stop this!"

Corbin

Upon returning from the bathroom is greeted by complete pandimonium.

As a strangely garbed and armed man sails into the lobby from room 102's broken open door. Corb can see Kassandra in the background shouting over the sounds of the brawl

Oh dear, I can't be gone for two minutes can I, he mutters under his breath, and reaches for the stun baton hoping against hope he won't have to use it.

Santrar just holds Derrick to the wall. "How could I just forget such obvious insults. I should make him pay for them with his life." He pushes the sword point against Derrick's chest, still not breaking the cloth.

Kassandra & Corbin

The two members of the Purgatory's staff, found themselves trying to rationalize the foolish actions of the stranger in the long coat to the very angry Tigarian.

Kassandra places her hand softly on Santrar's shoulder, "Please, this man is not worth your wrath. He is obviuosly not of these realms and aparently lost, perhaps not even in his right mind."

"Yeah, that's it, come on Sir, please release the other guest." Corbin chips in trying to sound strong and tough, but failing miserably.

La Sombra

Rumblings within her walls, and the Dark Lady, despite being immersed in a pile of mouldering texts, looks up, completely in tune. She senses the unrest and notes yet anotherr tear in the dimensional fabric of the Inn, another door and another unexpected guest. A frown creases her face as she contemplates the dual anomolies so close together. First the apperance of the Tigerian, now this.

Things were becoming dangerously unstable. As soon as was prudent the shadow queen would have to question one of the infernals. They must know something.

For now however her task would be to settle the unrest taking place in the common room, and this was not something she was in the mood for. The frown that had creeped across her face earlier deepened.

Becoming one with the fabric of shadow the lady slides silent and unseen from her rooms, down the grand staircase to the main hall where the origins of the disturbance became abundantly clear.
A very angry Tigerian was holding a rather arrogant looking man dressed like a hunter by the coat, a sword inches from the man's heart. Despite the possible peril, the man (La Sombra skimmed his mind quickly) Derek, did not appear to be ruffled a bit. She attempted to gleen the same knowledge from the Tigerian, but experienced an unexpected block. Rather then pushing, she let it go as an oddity to look into further at a later date.

Stepping between the two combatants, and her staff, the Lady of Shadows coelsces into corpreality. Hands on her hips she looks for all the world like an angry obsidian statue of an angel. Her dark satin hair an ink black cloud around her face. Eyes like chips of onyx dance with an unearthly silver flame. She captivates everyone's attention without a word, then speaks,

"There will be no bloodshed in the Purgatory without my leave, and you good Tigerian do not have my leave." She locks eyes with the fiery tempered tiger man, her tone dead even, though edged with cold fire. "Let the man go."

Santrar slowly lowers the sword and resheaths it but still doesn't let go of the man. "You deserve much more than this for those insults but like she says, I don't have her leave."

He lets go and the man drops.
