I'm always curious how people find out little nuances of other peoples lives....this one got pregnant, this one cheated, this one lost his laptop, on and on. This is a scary place....

I cut my internet teeth in places far less forgiving than the GB, so sometimes it's easy for me to let my guard down in here. But overall, it seems they really only go after posters who are massive, massive douchbags for years and years on end.

But you always have to be careful regardless, because you never know who's lurking.

ETA: I'm not talking something like following a trail of links a person has in their signature. I mean things like getting into people's personal accounts on sites like photobucket or facebook, although facebook isn't so easy anymore.

I disagree with you about only going after douchebags. This place is an equal opportunity abuser, because the jackals here go after anybody. I haven't posted here much in a long time, but I have lurked from time to time. I'm amazed at how many of the "massive, massive douchebags" from years ago are still here and still posting the usual drivel.
