Have you ever felt like luck seems to be on your side ?
I'm at a new school this year, one far less expensive than the one where I spent the first two years of my college career. I have a new major. I also have some interesting, smart, charming new friends. Some of them have come through for me in my time of need and I will do the same for them when the time comes.
This year, I'm down with the fellas. From Foster, the young Black man I am currently involved with, to my friends Paul, Evans and Mr. P. There are no girls in my life. Well, some of those in my life are unpleasant but I focus on school and writing, not BS. My aunt ( aka the manipulator), my sister ( aka the sociopath) and my girl cousin ( aka the rude one) are quite a handful but it seems that their drama only gives me fuel to succeed in what I do. I am very protective of myself and my work. I protect what's mine. I fear no one. I dont associate with dramatic losers who got nothing better to do than whine all day.
I think things might be happening for me. My 400-page collection of bisexual erotica is being reviewed by two publishing houses. Whichever one says yes first is the one I will go with. School starts Monday for me. I am done paying tuition and books. I am ready. I want to excel this semester. I might even take some summer classes to further enhance my academic career.
Yesterday, I had $ 200 in my pocket, given to me by my father through
email through a friend who lives in Texas. My father lives in the Caribbean. Anyway, I paid for 4 college books with less than $ 200. That makes me a lucky bastard, according to my friends. I went to Boston and got my book printed, to see it in its full glory. The guy at the printing agency was nice to me and charged me $ 10 instead of 20.
I walked from the back bay to south station and finally got on the trains. It cost me one penny instead of the usual $ 1.25. Lucky, huh ?
I hope my luck holds. Soon, the US government is going to decide whether or not to let me become a US resident. That would make my life much easier. I want to get a degree in criminal justice. I want to be a published author. I want to have full legal rights as a US resident.
Wish me luck, people.
Thanks.
