Hi, I have a question. I have a story rolling around in my head concerning a few different topics and I guess I just want to know if someone would like to read it. I want to make sure before I reguratate it into being that is gonna be read.

Ok I am gonna try to explain it as best I can. I first got the idea about a week ago. I had the idea of doing a historical piece. I LOVE Louis XIV. He was in my opinion one of biggest figures in history and I got to thinking, why not write a story about him?

Well my story starts with a character names Abilene (Leni) who is a research nerd. She translates manuscripts from their original language into english. Well to move this story along she gets a hold of a diary of a french woman. As she reads she is thrown into a world of debunchery. I have tried to see how many different story catagories I can include in this one story. I know I am gonna have the letter catagory, and erotic coupling. I figure that I could include a lesbian scene, and group sex but I'm looking for some other ideas of how to add as many catagories as I can.

I would appeciate any ideas. Thanx :cattail:

Suggestion

Off the top of my head I could think of "First Time", possibly if Louis seduces a virgin or introduces somebody to a group experience for the first time.
Also "Masturbation" comes to mind, when the writer thinks back to what's happened (if she's a participant) or listens to what somebody else tells her.
If you have time why not also include a little voyeur-ism into the story? Something along the lines of watching from behind a drape because he/she was not supposed to be in the room and doesn't want to be caught, or perhaps from behind a painting in a secret passageway...

I think the possibilities are endless, but if you try to cram too much into a short story you're bound to make it too synthetic. A story divided into several chapters might be a good idea though.

Let me know how it turns out, please!

I had actually thought about the masturbation side of things. I was gonna have the reader be a large part of that. I guess I should give more info about the story. The young french woman, tentatively named Aline is gonna be getting married to an older man (mature). He is gonna lead her to things that she wouldn't normal think about such as having sex with someone else while he watches (loving wives), sex with Louis XIV (celebrities), watching as a courtesan gives Louis a blowjob, with maybe some group sex thrown into the mix. I was thinking of giving the reader (Abilene) a love interest, someone who can lend a definite BDSM feel and maybe make her do some things that she wouldn't do.

I am gonna try to start working on it tonight. I have had a few ideas and I guess I need to get them onto paper so I can finally have a good night's sleep. Thanks for everyone who posted. :)

I understand Snooper's comments about first/second person. But it can be a bit confusing. You're thinking about writing a story about the reader of the diary. Or is it a story about the diary being read? You'll need to decide what the central charater is, reader or book.

I would suggest keeping portions of the story about the reader relatively short. Maybe a little section in the beginning and at the end, put in italics. Keep it short, otherwise, you'll upset more readers.

The other suggestion would be about the titles. It would be written in chapters, so that each category could go in the appropriate category. But rather than using Aline's Diary: Ch1, Aline's Diary: Ch2, use dates. Aline's Diary: May 1432, Aline's Diary: August 1434. Would add a little more historical flair.

And last but not least, a suggested reading. A historical novel set in pretty much the same time period in France, The Spy Wore Petticoats by Colleen Thomas. It's in the Novels/Novellas section here on Literotica. It's an excellent example of historical writing and very erotic.
(Thanks Colly, we all love you, still.)
