Reading a book about the excavation of Catalhoyuk, an ancient city in Turkey dating from the time of the Neolithic Revolution, when humans were just settling down and learning how to farm and live in cities.

They've found some goddess figurines, and wall paintings featuring bulls and vultures.

Another common feature in these ancient houses are wall decorations that look like human breasts. Some rooms have as many as eight or ten molded to the walls. They're made out of plaster, and are positioned at just about the right height. They have nipples too.

But some of these breasts are different. Instead of nipples, some of them have little vulture beaks.

Kind of creeped me out.

Things that make you go hmmmm.

Eventually, I should like to visit places like Catal Hüyük and Tepe Yahya (and Jericho of course), they're very interesting to me.

I think it's just changed forms, I suspect the boob cult has existed for the whole of humanity.

Jericho is my daughter's name. I want to take her to see the city she is named for.

A lovely name and that sounds quite nice; it is such an ancient place, as I said I should like to see it myself.
