I'm not really sure how to describe this, but it's been driving me nuts for a few days now.

At first I thought it was because of a reed diffuser my husband bought, but it's still happening even after having thrown the thing away.

The roof of my mouth feels really cold. Like I've had too much peppermint or been inhaling Vaporub for a few days. It runs from the top of my palate to the back of my throat and has gotten more and more annoying. I feel silly calling my doctor on it since it's such a strange thing to describe. That, and I can already hear the conversation:

"My mouth is cold."
"Drink something warm. Now give me $50 for coming in."

Anyone else had a feeling like this? What the heck is it?

do you seem to have excessive saliva also? Or is it more of a "raw" feeling? Sometimes, the pH in the mouth can change radically and that may affect the sensations in the mouth. I really don't know though....I'm just guessing at possibilities.

I've had this before. I've also had the feeling of a loss of taste on my tongue. I think both warrant a visit to the doctor.
