Am I really all that sad?
No, not really. this house is rather crowded - 8 people, a dog, 2 cats and what used to be 2 birds is now down to 1. In a three bedroom bungalow.
So yeah, slightly less noise.
caela said:Wow!!! That's a lot of people to cram into 3 bedrooms!
Xelebes said:4 of the guys (including me) are crammed into the big playroom in the downstairs.

I was pretty upset when my birds Guineviere and Mordred died years and years ago. Loss is hard to deal with IMO.

Sorry, Xelebes. I'm glad that you aren't too broke up.

FurryFury said:I had finches and a cockatiel. Her name was Hitchcock, btw. She loved Disney movies. All that high pitched singing got her going. I mostly bought all of the bird to entertain my kitty at the time, his name was Dante' and like Star he was a Burmese.

Chicklet said:I remember when my pet parakeet, Mitzy, died.
She was the oldest, meanest, crankiest, loudest, most horrible bird alive. She once started laying eggs, so we got a male bird thinking she wanted a mate. She bit off his toe, and he feared her from then on.
She bit us. She chirped loudly at 4am, before the sun was up. And then, finally, FINALLY, at the grand old age (i kid you not) of FOURTEEN human years, she died.
of cancer.
she had to be PUT TO SLEEP.
god i hated that bird.
Xelebes said:All the birds do is make noise and leave a mess of feathers and seeds on the floor. (The birds are budgies.)
