My pet bird, Tweety died.

Am I really all that sad?

No, not really. this house is rather crowded - 8 people, a dog, 2 cats and what used to be 2 birds is now down to 1. In a three bedroom bungalow.

So yeah, slightly less noise.

Wow!!! That's a lot of people to cram into 3 bedrooms!

Sorry about the loss of your bird and the salty beer.
*hugs*

I'm sorry to hear it.

*hug*

I was pretty upset when my birds Guineviere and Mordred died years and years ago. Loss is hard to deal with IMO.

Fury :rose:

I'm not really feeling the loss. I have more connection to the dog and cats than I do with the birds. All the birds do is make noise and leave a mess of feathers and seeds on the floor. (The birds are budgies.)

4 of the guys (including me) are crammed into the big playroom in the downstairs.

Thanks beautiful Graceanne!

I love reading different takes on the whole King Arthur thing. I liked Mary Stewarts books on it best. Therefore those two characters are my favs.

I think Gwen might have killed Mord before she herself died. I think she thought he was a pest and not sexy at all.

The surviving bird (which turns out to be an older bird) is named Billy.

We have simple named birds.

We had a parakeet named Gus at one point 20 years ago when I was just born.

/distills the salt from the beer

Gonna use this for my stew.

I had finches and a cockatiel. Her name was Hitchcock, btw. She loved Disney movies. All that high pitched singing got her going. I mostly bought all of the bird to entertain my kitty at the time, his name was Dante' and like Star he was a Burmese.

I remember when my pet parakeet, Mitzy, died.

She was the oldest, meanest, crankiest, loudest, most horrible bird alive. She once started laying eggs, so we got a male bird thinking she wanted a mate. She bit off his toe, and he feared her from then on.

She bit us. She chirped loudly at 4am, before the sun was up. And then, finally, FINALLY, at the grand old age (i kid you not) of FOURTEEN human years, she died.

of cancer.

she had to be PUT TO SLEEP.

god i hated that bird.

I wanna get a chihuaha and name him Killer, and a rott and name him Baby. I want a striped cat so I can call it spot, and a spotted one to call to call Tigger. I'd love to get a mouse and call it 'kitty'.

I love odd names.

Xelebes I am sorry about your bird. Budgies are good company

I love birds,

I prefer them to cats and dogs.

I love the noise, the mess everything :)

As a child I had budgies, I was always heart broken when something happened to them.

When I was married I bought a parrot, I forgot to tell my ex what I had done until it was paid for, as he is bird hater and cat lover it became an interesting conversation LOL

The parrot talked and shrieked all day, he had a room in the house with glass doors looking into the living area which was pretty much his.

Sadly he (or maybe she) fell madly in love with my ex and started attacking anyone who was in the room with him. As he could not stand the parrot and wanted nothing to do with him, I ended up selling him as the attacks on everyone else became more vicious.

In hindsight I should have sold my husband and lived with a bad tempered, love sick parrot
