Wedding hotel info

Angelique has asked me to be in charge of coordinating the hotel reservations. I have never done this before; so if you have any questions or advice, please let me know. I would like a rough idea from everybody of what hotel you want, and I’m trying to figure out how many rooms we’re going to need. I’m thinking that sharing a room with others might be a good idea for those who are a little strapped for cash. Then again, that would be most, if not all of us. LOL

If you already have a reservation, let me know. If you have arranged with someone to share rooms, let me know. If you want to do your own thing, you know the drill. I looked at the Sheraton website, and they mention two-room suites, most with 2 beds and a sleeper sofa. It sounds pretty good to me. If I can get a rough count soon, I will call hotels on Tuesday and try to get an idea of prices, availability, and procedures of booking a section.

Now, if there’s anything I’ve forgotten or left out, please tell me. Also, I’d like to bypass the Lit mail, as it’s been doing freaky things lately, and I don’t trust it. if you have any questions or problems with booking the hotel, let me know and i'll try to accomodate you. i do have some expertise in the matter. it helps to pre-book a block of rooms at one time, so you can get group rates.

I'm getting kind of irked at the rest of you, and you know who you are! I sent e-mails out on Saturday, and only half have gotten back to me. For the half who have, I thank you very much. For those who still haven't, I'm waiting. *tapping foot*

Okay, good news and bad news.

Good news: I talked with a friend who has gotten the price for a ticket down to about $371, AND it seems I'm getting a refund this year from my college. After I get my paycheck in the mail, I'll know if I can get the ticket or not-- but it's looking better.

Bad news: I haven't bought any of my books yet, so it's not looking THAT much better.

If so, I think I'd be rooming with Eve. What's the estimate for three nights?

Now for the hotel room. They go for $64 a night, not including taxes. That's why I'm pushing for sharing rooms. Right now I'm just looking for preliminary info. If you need to talk to me, all info is in my profile.

*wincing* Oooof.. I reeeeeeeeeeally hate to say it, but that's the clincher. I'm not going to be able to attend, it's just too expensive with the hotel room (even if it's shared) and the plane ticket.
