WEBP to JPEG conversion

I've seen that there are a lot of postings lately of pictures in the WEBP format (which Google seems to favor). I'd like to convert them to JPEG or PNG formats for use on my tablet, but haven't found the right app for doing that.

Most of what I've seen involve you uploading the pix to a site, having them do the conversions, and then downloading the result. They only allow you a couple of pix at a time. To do more than that, you have to give them a monthly feel

Does anybody have a recommendation for an app that allows me to do this "in-house," so to speak? I'd prefer free, but a small one-time charge wouldn't be out of the question.

The other way is to visit the same website in Firefox, I.E. or edge and they will deliver up jpg versions as they don't handle WebP

you can take a cropped screen shot of the image and save it as a jpg
While I work with Photoshop constantly I regularly use Greenshot for screen grabs, much better than Windows Snipping Tool

Which i have but still does not work

Thanks, everyone, for your advice. I've switched browsers from Chrome to Firefox, and the pix can be saved in JPEG format, so problem solved.
