I'd like to get a webcam for two reasons. (1) To interact with friend/relatives that I don't see very often and (2) To take the occasional picture to forward to said family and friends.

What's a good brand/model that won't set me back a week's pay?

Thanks! :D

Hi sweetie!:D

I used to have a very expensive Intel cam that was nothing but a pain....so I went to Walmart and bought a IBM PC Net Pro for a mere $25. It is the best little cam, and all my pics in my thread and pic link are taken with it. It formats the pics, saves them, gives you the option to email them, etc, and has a delay feature. I really like it, and its much nice than the Intel.

CreativeLabs has a few that are very cheap also. Any Best Buy, CompUSA, Circuit City should have them in stock. I saw one for $19.99 and it takes still shots at 1600x1200....32-bit color. That's very damn good for a netcam.
