OK!! Here it is...

The word is weave

The form is Bob

The due date is May 23.

Open to all and sundry! Just for fun... no money being offered! LOL

For those who can't be arsed to click on a link, these are the outlines of a Bob, as explained by the inventor himself:

- four line strophes
- as many strophes as you want
- line 2 and 4 rhymes
- some kind of regular meter
- line 3 in one strophe becomes line 1 in the next one
- the first strophe gets it's line 1 from the last strophe

Here be Bob

this is a poem called Bob
written by me to explain
the structure and style of such beast
to guide you across this terrain

the structure and style of such beast
is quite easy to understand
just think of a Bob as a line,
or circle of strophes, holding hand

just think of a Bob as a line
where everyone follows the former
a nursery rhyme, it may seem
but also a kind of transformer

a nursery rhyme it may seem
for you to create with delight
this is a poem called Bob
stop reading this drivel, and write

I'm in--and Ice-man if you're out there lurking, I hope you're happy now. :D

I'll do it, but I'm gonna pout the entire time....:p

Foooool

But, yes! I never ask dead-end questions.

:D

Expect a come-back tho'.

I think we're both warped and pretty much cut from the same cloth. :D

Oh my god, doie this mean I have to RHYME?!
No.. rhyme is an added embellishment to the form... kinda fun though.

Check out my Interlocked Bob on the Bob thread for another variation.

I'm going to give this a whirl as well.

Sure sounds funny explaining to folks what you're doing though.

"What are you up to today?"

"Oh, just working on a Bob."

"A what?"

"A Bob! Haven't you ever done a Bob before?"

"Well, there was this guy Robert back in college.. and hey, I thought you were straight?"

"What does doing a Bob have to do with being straight?"

"Well, you're a guy... d'uh!"

"Bob's not a guy, Bob's a POEM!"

"Well, why didn't you say so?"

Actually, I do believe rhyme is a part of the original bob. Here's the first Bob posted on Lit. (In fact also interlocked...err waaait. No itäs not, sorry)

But my info on what it is that rhymes seems to have been wrong.

It's the pair of strophes that rhymes:

...
Handshake, handover,
the same old agenda,
a lowride of commas
repeating in order.

A lowride of commas
with tidals of notion,
a call-response pattern
through distance and border.

A call-response pattern,
transmitter, receiver,
projector and canvas
in communication.

Projector and canvas
aligned with a signal,
a perfect clear image,
a photon vocation.
...

See? :)

And your interlocked version was the first of that kind too.

Ok, now I'm really confuesd. What the hell is a Bob now?!

Hey, pals!

I think everyone is pretty down right now... if you'd like to extend the date of this- or put it off altogether, it's ok by me. Cuz I'm down when my friends are...
