Is Iraq using any of their's?

They do have them, right?

That's why we're bombing them, right?

If they have them, why aren't they using them?

1. Not reported yet.

2. Yes, as reported from UN inspections prior to Hanns Blix. The Iraqi's have not shown evidence of their destruction.

3. Yeah.

4. IMO, that'll be reserved for use by the Republican Guard and/or last defence of Baghdad.

Saddam can't use them himself, he has to order those in the field to use them for him. In the end the soldiers that have the WMDs may not want to use them for fear of the consequences. They have more to lose than Hussein.

As soon as Iraq uses WMD's they void all support from the international community.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've read in a long time, thanks for the chuckle...

They didn't use them after the Gulf War either, and there was no dispute at that time that they existed (because they were used earlier against the Kurds, and their existence was confirmed, by the Iraqis, after the war). They weren't used because, unfortunately, Hanns is right. Saddam had no hope of playing the various members of the international community against each other if he used chemical and biological weapons. The WMD were not created to stop the U.S., but to lord over the region.

The WMD can be traded to third party terrorists. That's Bush's worry. He's only said it 2000 times. Would one more time help?

So Pakistan and N Korea are next?

I just hope that Saddam is rational enough to realize that using them won't help him. Blix is right, along with Hanns and DCL.
I don't think he will, though, he has been playing the world too long to throw away the world's opinion of him. It's his best weapon against the US.

Interesting thought, though. After all is said and done, we find no WMDs? I picture Bush on national TV, in his best Gilda Radner-as-Emily-Littella voice: "Nevermind!"

If Iraq had really disarmed, they would have gone to greater lengths to prove it.

TY for expanded statement.

This sounds like a soap opera scrypt. Do you write for television by any chance?

The WMD were not created to stop the U.S., but to lord over the region.

Is this documented, or more Daytime Drama theory? All we need is an evil twin.

I find it interesting that everyone seems to know what Saddam is thinking, but afraid of his unpredictability at the same time.

The WMD can be traded to third party terrorists. That's Bush's worry.

Did you mind meld with everybody, Dixon?

Nice theories, but I was looking for some facts to help me understand why such a dangerous regime is not seeming so dangerous at all.

He's only said it 2000 times.

If you say something enough times, it becomes true...

You can't make that deduction from what's been said on this thread.

Not from this thread, no.

But Pakistan and N Korea arm terrorists...probably Iran as well. Pakistan has nukes, and N Korea is on the verge...with Iran working on them as well. This isn't to belittle the war on Iraq as much as it is to hope that in the face of being hypocrits, the US military does something about these countries as well.
