‘You’re in deep sh*t’: Lawmaker alerts Trump if phones were ‘tapped’ a judge found ‘probable cause of crime’

A California Congressman took to Twitter on Saturday morning to warn President Donald Trump that — if he is correct that his Trump Tower phones were tapped — he is “in deep sh*t.”

Early Saturday morning, Trump set the political world ablaze by accusing former President Barack Obama of having his phones tapped prior to the 2016 election.

Although Trump provided no information that he may have been monitored, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) stated that the president may want to lawyer up.

“Mr. President: If there was a wiretap at Trump Tower, that means a fed judge found probable cause of crime which means you are in deep shit,” Lieu wrote. After providing a link to a Washington Post article on Trump’s tweets and the fallout, Lieu took it a step further.

“Either @realDonaldTrump is paranoid like Nixon, or judge found probable cause of crime for #wiretap. Either way our President is in trouble,” he wrote.

Weak Seven begins ominously for the Trumpanzy.

Republican Senator: Trump causing a ‘civilization-warping crisis’ for US with wild ‘wiretap’ charges

Nebraska Republican Sen. Ben Sasse has called on Pres. Donald Trump to provide proof of his wild accusations that former Pres. Barack Obama wiretapped his phones before the 2016 election.

In a statement posted to Twitter Saturday afternoon, Sasse accused Trump of creating a “civilization-warping crisis of public trust” with his erratic and unsupported accusations that Obama tapped the phones at Trump Tower, which Sasse said call for a “thorough and dispassionate” investigation.

“The president today made some very serious allegations, and the informed citizens that a republic requires deserve more information,” Sasse wrote. “If there were wiretaps of then-candidate Trump’s organization or campaign, then it was either with FISA Court authorization or without such authorization. If without, the President should explain what sort of wiretap it was and how he knows this. It is possible that he was illegally tapped.”

“On the other hand, if it was with a legal FISA Court order, then an application for surveillance exists that the Court found credible,” he explained. “The President should ask that this full application regarding surveillance of foreign operatives or operations be made available, ideally to the full public, and at a bare minimum to the U.S. Senate.”‘

He concluded, “[T]he President’s allegations today demand the thorough and dispassionate attention of serious patriots. A quest for the full truth, rather than knee-jerk partisanship, must be our guide if we are going to rebuild civic trust and health.”

Let's get that lawless Obama!:D

Trump blasted top aides over Sessions recusal mess in Friday White House meltdown: report

Friday afternoon President Donald Trump unloaded on several of his closest aides over the White House’s messy handling of Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ recusal of himself from investigations into the Trump administration and possible Russian interference in the 2016 election.

According to Politico, Trump called in chief of staff Reince Priebus, son-in-law Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, chief strategist Steve Bannon, communications director Mike Dubke and press secretary Sean Spicer to rant about how Sessions’ recusal was handled after the president had previously said he saw no reason for the attorney general to step aside.

Before heading off to his Mar-a-Lago resort for his fourth weekend getaway, Trump sat with down with his inner circle where he reportedly blew up when the subject of Sessions’ stepping-aside was broached.

:)

‘This is what happens when a target gets buggy’: Analyst says Trump rant about ‘tapping’ is a sign he’s guilty

During a panel discussion on MSNBC’s AMJoy, a security analyst stated that Donald Trump’s accusation that former President Barack Obama had the phones at Trump Tower “tapped” is a sign that the Russia allegations against his administration are finally getting to him.

Just hours after Trump made his Twitter allegations, host Joy Reid asked her panel what they made of Trump’s Twitter rant that seems to have no basis in fact.

“He is acting this morning like that information is real,” Nance pointed out. “That means he’s confirming everything that we suspect. And by running around and tweeting that he’s afraid of it, he knows that something’s going on and he’s trying to project a frame of reference about information that he suspects is coming out.”

“If he thinks his phones are tapped, he believes that we know everything and this is a dance that is very dangerous.”

So Trump confirms that his shit is stinky by reacting to the leaks biggly. :D

White House attorneys scramble to come up with evidence to back Trump’s ‘wiretap’ claims

Pres. Donald Trump’s top legal advisers are scrambling to come up with evidence to back his claim on Twitter Saturday morning that the phones at Trump Tower were tapped in the weeks leading up to the 2016 election.

The New York Times reported Saturday evening that while Trump is spending the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida — his fourth weekend away from Washington since he was inaugurated Jan. 20 — a source reported that senior White House Donald F. McGahn II is spending the weekend trying to secure access to a court order that may or may not exist.

There are two possibilities regarding Trump’s angry tweets from Saturday morning in which he accused former Pres. Barack Obama of wiretapping the phones in Trump Tower: One is that Pres. Trump is getting his news from right-wing radio and fringe conspiracy websites like Breitbart.com and InfoWars, both of which ran with a story on Friday alleging that Obama eavesdropped on Trump.

The other possibility, as suggested by Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu (CA), is that the president was under surveillance through an order from a FISA court. This would mean that a federal judge felt there was probable cause to believe that Trump had committed a serious crime or was an agent of a foreign power.

Resist, Oppose, Impeach!

‘It’s a tool of an authoritarian’: Nancy Pelosi rips Trump for lying about Obama tapping his phones

“It’s called a ‘wrap-up smear,'” she continued. “You make up something then you have the press write about it, then you say ‘everybody is writing about it.’ It’s a charge. It’s a tool of an authoritarian, to just have them talking about what you want them to be talking about. Rather than Russia, we’re talking about President Obama. And then to take it to the Congress and say, ‘Now you investigate this,’ when he’s in favor of Congress of investigating anything but what do the Russians have on Donald Trump, politically, financially or personally.”

It's only Sunday of the Trumpanzy's Seventh weak, and it appears to be very weak indeed.

Equal opportunity and all that, Jack.

I just joined a gym last month and one of the trainers I met makes Hardy look soft. Jake was/is a professional Rugby player and hangs with the Polynesians, who all play Rugby. I'm teaching Jake to play Ukulele so he can pick up girls.

‘We’re going broke’: West Palm Beach business owners want Trump to spend weekends somewhere else

Residents and business owners in West Palm Beach complained over the weekend that President Donald Trump’s frequent trips to his Mar-a-Lago resort are making their lives miserable.

NBC News reported that Trump’s weekend visits were not only expensive for the taxpayers, but the safety measures implemented by the Secret Service are also costing local business owners big.

“We’re basically going broke,” a spokesperson for Southern Helicopter told NBC News. “We were not expecting him to come down almost every weekend.”

Jonathan Miller, the president of Stellar Aviation Group, worried that his business would go under if Trump continued to make Mar-a-Lago his weekend destination. Miller estimated that he is losing $30,000 each weekend because of Trump.

Additionally, the taxpayers of Palm Beach County are already on the hook for $1.7 million in extra security, and the White House has so far ignored requests to reimburse the county.

Trump "Making America Grate Again" Ha Ha Ha Ha!:D

‘I’m not Nostradamus here’: Man behind Trump’s wiretap claim says he can’t prove Obama did it

Mark Livine admits to his fake news allegation against a blameless President, (well at least in this case).

Radio host Mark Levin, who sent President Donald Trump into a rage on Twitter after floating a conspiracy theory about wiretaps ordered by President Barack Obama, admitted on Sunday that he had no concrete proof that the former president was involved.

On his radio show and in a column for Breitbart, Levin called for an investigation into Obama’s so-called “silent coup” against the new president. Without presenting any proof, Levin alleged that Obama personally ordered wiretaps of Trump associates.

“The evidence is overwhelming,” Levin told Fox News host Pete Hegseth on Sunday. “This is about the Obama administration’s spying.”

Levin repeated the list of “sources” offered in his Breitbart column as proof that Obama allegedly ordered the wiretapping of Trump’s team. A careful reading of those reports, however, do not back up Levin’s conspiracy theory.

“Donald Trump is being attacked for [the accusations] he tweeted,” Levin said. “Donald Trump is the victim, his campaign is the victim, his transition team is the victim, his surrogates are the victim. These are police state tactics.”

When pressed for details on President Obama’s personal involvement, Levin replied, “I’m not Nostradamus here.”

Levin is more like a DBS, Designated Bull Shitter, than a prophet.

Trump is incredibly ‘p*ssed off’ no one believes his Obama ‘wiretaps’ story, says adviser

FBI Director James Comey asks Justice Department to publicly reject Trump’s ‘wiretap’ claims

Former aide to Pres. George W. Bush David Frum said on Twitter that Comey’s rebuke is unprecedented, writing, “If report is accurate, the director of the FBI is rebuking the president of the United States as a fantasist & liar.”

Hell, only two days into his seventh week and Trump is accused of Bullshitting the Bullshitters! He's batting poorly for a "Winner."

The ‘knives are out’ for Reince Priebus in Trump’s cutthroat, chaotic White House

In a chaotic White House that has lurched from crisis to crisis, increasing blame is falling on White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, according to an article published Sunday in Politico.

More than a dozen staffers spoke to Politico and said that the “knives are out” for Priebus, 44, who they feel has been remarkably ineffective in his role and inept at handling the myriad controversies and missteps of the Trump White House.

“They described a micro-manager who sprints from one West Wing meeting to another, inserting himself into conversations big and small and leaving many staffers feeling as if he’s trying to block their access to Trump. They vented about his determination to fill the administration with his political allies. And they expressed alarm at what they say are directionless morning staff meetings Priebus oversees that could otherwise be used to rigorously set the day’s agenda and counterbalance the president’s own unpredictability,” wrote Alex Isenstadt and and Josh Dawsey.

Who's driving that team? Is anybody at the tiller of State or are we cast adrift with no rudder in a shitstorm of "Alternative Universes?"

The number 1 inept one at the White House is a guy named Donald Trump. And he chose the rest of them.

John Oliver rips Jeff Sessions and names Trump-Russia scandal ‘Stupid Watergate’

John Oliver began Sunday’s edition of “Last Week Tonight” by pointing out yet again that the words “President Trump” just don’t sound right together, like the words “baby pubes” and “haunted horse.”

The week began promisingly for Pres. Donald Trump with media figures falling all over themselves to complment his speech to Congress on Tuesday night.

Less than 24 hours later, however, disaster struck in the form of revelations that Attorney Gen. Jeff Sessions met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and lied about it during his confirmation hearing.

Spotted on the internet a new axiom:

The first casualty of Trump is Truth.

There are some decent looking politicians. Not Ted Cruz though. He's awful.

Ex-Bush administration officials fear how ‘erratic, vindictive’ Trump will react during a major crisis

“I draw comfort from the fact that the leaders of the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security have military experience, they’ve been in combat, they’re not going to get flustered, they understand how to make things work operationally,” Chertoff explained “And that’s cause for optimism, provided that, you know, you don’t get young kids in the White House trying to get in the way and play cowboy.”

“We have as president a man who is erratic, vindictive, volatile, obsessive, a chronic liar, and prone to believe in conspiracy theories,” conservative commentator Peter Wehner remarked. “And you can count on the fact that there will be more to come, since when people like Donald Trump gain power they become less, not more, restrained.”

White House aides ‘put Trump in a better mood’ by going over plan to ban suffering refugees: report

“He was pissed,” Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy said after seeing Trump on the golf course. “I haven’t seen him this angry.”

“That night at Mar-a-Lago, Trump had dinner with Sessions, Bannon, Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly and White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, among others,” the Post noted. “They tried to put Trump in a better mood by going over their implementation plans for the travel ban, according to a White House official.”

Vox’s Matthew Yglesias pointed out that Trump advisers were trying to cheer him up “by reminding him of their looming plan to endanger the lives of some of the most desperate and vulnerable people on earth.”

“And there’s no denying that the vast majority of the hardship will be inflicted on people who are not terrorists and who pose no national security risk to the United States,” Yglesias wrote. “Most of all, there will be intense hardship visited upon refugees who would, if not for Trump, be candidates for resettlement in the United States of America.”

“Trump has had his share of frustrations over the course of his young presidency, but this is the part he finds fun.”

Paul Krugman says Trump exposes GOP dirty secret: The Republican Party ‘has been faking it for years’

New York Times columnist Paul Krugman asserted on Monday that Donald Trump’s presidency has shown that the Republican Party is completely unprepared and unable to enact the policies it has promised voters for years.

In his Monday column, Krugman notes that the Republican Party’s failure to pass legislation like the repeal and replacement of President Barack Obama’s signature health care reform law has little to do with the temper tantrums and antics of President Donald Trump.

“But the broader Republican quagmire — the party’s failure so far to make significant progress toward any of its policy promises — isn’t just about Mr. Trump’s inadequacies,” Krugman writes. “The whole party, it turns out, has been faking it for years. Its leaders’ rhetoric was empty; they have no idea how to turn their slogans into actual legislation, because they’ve never bothered to understand how anything important works.”

Trump's Swamp is evolving into a quagmire.

‘Outright cowardice’: Dan Rather rails against ‘sycophant’ Trump and the people who enable him

Veteran newsman Dan Rather was speechless over the weekend after President Donald Trump claimed former President Barack Obama wiretapped him in Trump Tower. But, Rather did say that the unhinged tweets at 6:30 a.m. are indicative of an “administration in freefall.”

In a Monday Facebook post, Rather explained that the “real Donald Trump has stood up,” and is on full display to the American people as the Commander-in-Chief. The days when Trump could stand before Congress and read a teleprompter like a responsible leader are gone, according to Rather. What it has replaced it is “a punchline to a joke no one wants to have told.”

“Every one who normalizes Mr. Trump now, or has in the past, will have to answer to future generations for their acquiescence, silence or sophistry—if, indeed, not outright cowardice,” he warned.

Resist, Oppose, Impeach!

Hey Trump, When You’ve Lost Benghazi Congressidiot Trey Gowdy, It’s Time To STFU

So it’s pretty hilarious to see that even he (Gowdy), dingus that he is, is not ready to accept Donald Trump’s completely made up assertion that President Nobummer did an “illegal” “wire tapp” of him:

“I don’t think the FBI is the Obama team and I don’t think the men and women who are career prosecutors at DOJ belong to any team other than a blindfolded woman holding a pair of scales,” Gowdy said. […]

(He’s talking about Lady Justice, if you are a dumb. There is not a blindfolded lady in the basement of the DOJ who is their secret queen and tells them what to do.)

“We have the tools to keep us safe and it’s prudent for those tools to be used lawfully and appropriately,” Gowdy said. “If they’re not used lawfully and appropriately, there’s a paper trail and we’ll be able to find it out.”

Gowdy said it was “hard to cross-examine tweets” and any information on a FISA warrant used against Trump would be available to the Trump administration.
