We're in Ocean City NJ - about an hour and a half east of Philly - in a family beach house right on the ocean - with enough food and stuff - but...

No snow shovel. And not many neighbors - these are summer places.

We won't get home to Falls Church for days.

Oh well - we've got 3 rental movie - PS2 - and each other.

I went to the beach one Friday in February several years ago. It was snowing like crazy, and the wind was howling that night. It was nearly 60 degrees and sunny for the drive home Sunday.

And it only gets worse...

We're right on the fucking beach...

Right now the waves are only 25 yds our - 10ft swells. But due to a full moon and the Nor'Eastern winds? High tide might put waves at our feet - down our street. And that's only for tonight.

They're saying another 24 hrs of snow - that means we ain't goin' anywhere - and that means also - tomorrow nights tides will be worse.

I don't know - we're high up - won't get wet - and only hope the AC holds out to keep us warm and my turkey soup hot - but my car? It's on the ground.

Damn ta hell ta damn.

so sorry for you... it's snowing in philly too and i'm wishing so hard that tomorrow isn't schoolday
