We The People

It took a revolution to acquire independence from a Monarch; I suggest it will take nothing less to free ourselves again.

Now is the time to prepare...as many already are, they know what is coming.

Whoa! That was impressive. Six whole minutes of common sense. :D That's more than we get out of Congress, ever!

Here, here!

But...never mind.

Oh what the hell...

When in the course of human events it is found that the citizens of a country feel they have been unjustly treated the time to petition the government for a redress of grievances is forth coming.

We the citizens of the United States of America in order to resurrect the freedom of the Union, and to rekindle individual freedoms…

Due hereby petition those Senators and Representatives of the Congress of the United States of America, who were elected by the citizen to work for the citizens, for a redress of the following grievances:

1. The economy being in shambles, we the lawful citizens do not agree to the outrageous spending of the current or past administrations and feel it must stop. We the citizens feel that the bureaucracy and government agency’s put in place to oversee the welfare of the citizens, is too large to support and needs to be reduced as soon as possible.

a. Therefore, the following agencies will have their mission statements modified and thus reduce the number of employee’s needed to fulfill their missions seeing as how they can’t quite accomplish their existing missions:

i. FAA (Regulation of aircraft only – all other function to cease)
ii. Department of Education (will be disbanded as it is not needed)
iii. FCC (will now only issue licenses, all rules in place are recinded)
iv. CIA (duplication of services to be discontinued)
v. NSA (will be combined into the CIA and FBI)
vi. FBI (re-organization)
vii. Department of the Interior (combined with the DOA)
viii. Department of Agriculture (combined with the DOI)
ix. State Department (re-organization and down sizing)
x. Department of Justice (only the US Marshals will survive)
xi. INS (Most of the DOJ personnel will be transferred here)
xii. IRS (buh-bye)
xiii. Others - to be named later

b. Furthermore the Union to which the citizens look for leadership has become a loathsome, bloated dinosaur the citizens want an immediate reduction and cessation of all spending on any government program that has been put in place to supersede member states of the Union. To include but not just exclusively, any and all welfare programs designed to keep the majority of citizens from the exercise of their individual freedoms.

c. Furthermore, all tax rates are to be rolled back to those of the initial tax rate established in 1913 immediately and until such time as the 16th amendment is repealed. 10% without deductions, offsets or credits. If there is not enough money in the treasury to pay for government then those elected to their positions must dig deep into their own pockets to pay for those programs that they want.

d. Therefore, having reduced the burden of paying for government, those money’s collected from the tax payers will be used for the national defense of this great nation. Any money’s left in the treasury after paying for the defense will be used for support of the national infrastructure.

e. Furthermore, the government of this Union will no longer barrow moneys from any source to pay its debts. Nor will any contracts be entered into which would place the government in debt to any source.

f. Therefore, at such time as the 16th amendment is repealed and HR25 is passed and put in place the government will have to survive on a Spartan sum.

2. With the inability of the current head of state, The President, to represent the people of the United States of America proudly and with honor and the current and past administrations reluctance to curb the unlawful crossing of our southern boarders and the unwillingness to round up said criminals. We the citizens hereby request that Congress recall the President for crimes against the lawful citizens of the United States. Forthwith: The blatant and willful disregard for the constitution. For the meddling and interference with free enterprise. For the total disregard of numerous legally binding contracts between private parties. For the attempt to pull the proverbial wool over the eyes of the citizens of the United States. For over stepping those bounds which were clearly marked by the constitution with total disregard for the consequences.

3. As Congress is too inept to understand that the citizens do not need coddling, but true leadership, which is currently lacking in the Congress of the United States, we the citizens ask that every Senator and Representative step down and demand new elections be held as soon as possible for all seats in Congress and the office of the President and Vice President.

4. Whereas the current make up of the Supreme Court is not the reflection of the citizens of the United State and that every justice has been appointed and therefore beholding to the party of the appointing President, we the citizens ask for a more active roll in the choosing of the justices of the highest court in the land. We the citizens also demand the current justices step down and new appointees present themselves to the citizens in a manner to be determined at a later date.

5. To all those low level politicians and bureaucrats, now is the time to step up and serve the citizens who put you in office or through a person being in office the appointment to your position. Not your political party or the person who appointed you, but we the citizens who pay your salaries and expenses out of our pockets. For without us there would be no money for you to get paid. So pay heed as stuff always flows downhill.

Be it said that, we the citizens of the United States of America did hereby attempt a peaceful, although provocative method of redressing our grievances.

Furthermore, that we the citizens of the United States of America wishing to have more personal freedoms due hereby declare and demand that government not attempt to stick its nose in our business any further. That government is in place for the people to direct.

More arrant nonsense........get a brain then a life.......better yet, buy Dick Cheney's book.....

Excellent effort ZEB, assuming you wrote that, took some time and thought, I would guess.

I missed the part wherein the people have the innate right to rid themselves of said oppressive government by any means necessary to achieve/regain their unalienable rights of life, liberty and property....perhaps you would address that?

About a year ago, and for a few years before that, some of the people in the AH were loudly proclaiming pretty much the same thing. I wonder if they still believe that.

I think this was posted a couple of weeks ago. That doesn't mean it's not worth repeating.

I first saw it about 2 months ago. :D
Still love it! :D
Should be required viewing for all 535 members of the Thundering Herd of Dumbass.

Box, et al...during the Carter years, I wrote and published a 'Second Declaration of Independence" "A Call to Convention, A Call to Arms", was the title, I have begun a rewrite and may publish again along with a newsletter that once had several thousand subscriptors called, "Resistance!", I wish I were more familiar with promoting blogs and all the social networking gimmicks, like Twitter, Facebook and Myspace...I have accounts at all of them but not the energy to full utilize them....

dunno....it may be time for another generation to take point....you go, DP & ZEB!

;)

Aren't y'all tired of whining and complaining all the fucking time? Shit, you bored me to tears months ago.

Y'all make me tired. Every damn one of you.

Whine, whine, whine.

Nahhh, it's okay, cloudy.

People need to reread those documents.

Maybe they can see how many Bush ignored during his presidency.

Like you did for 8 years?
We put up with that childish series of tantrums.
It seems like some of you were ready to blame Bush for the world being round!
Even the Comerade in Chief still tries to blame Bush for everything, even though the true responsibility lies with the 80% of the current Congress that were in office 8 years ago.

Bush was borderline retarded. The reason we're in the economic mess we're in now is because of your special needs boy in the white house for eight long fucking years.

How much was spent on that fucking fiasco in Iraq? Wasn't it something like $8 billion a month? How much health care would that much money buy? How much research into alternative energy would that fund?

But, no. He had to have his little macho-fucking-idiotic war. My cousin died over there for your fucking war. My nephew's over there right now, and if he doesn't get killed for your boy's frat party over there, it'll be a fucking miracle.

And you're just as short-sighted as your party boy Bush was. The only difference is that you can't fuck it up for everyone else like he did.

Whine, complain, bitch...start fifteen fucking threads a day like you have been.

No wonder I found another online community. I prefer the company of smart people, and there's a few here still, but they're leaving just like I did.

At least there, if someone insults you, it's spelled correctly.

I made it through a whole 1 minute 25 seconds before I bailed. Jebus.

Last night I watched a History Channel show about the Founding Fathers and how they founded our nation under the influence of hemp, tobacco, and alcohol. Nowadays, I think they call that "liberal," no?

Interestingly, Ben Franklin was a lascivious degenerate; George Washington not far behind Franklin. Free Masons ruled the roost then, and now? Pffft... I'll take Obama and his socialistic world-view. 'Bout time America realized it's not the end-all, be-all.

Two thumbs way, way down.

I truly hope all the left wing radicals don't find another site to dominate, for then I shall have to seek it out and correct their middling collective minds yet again.

Surfing the channels, I note they are reshowing, "Recount", for the 8,761st time as the left continues to whine about an alleged 'stolen' election...it wasn't, a University in Florida recounted every vote, by hand, Bush won. So, like SHUT UP!(Courtesy of "The Princess Diaries", just for fun)

The real difference between the left and the right is that the left whined and threatened to move to Canada or some other socialist haven while the right is advocating revolution and retaking America for Americans.

There are some who seem to believe that a free people can freely vote themselves into slavery. I challenge that assumption first with words and then with whatever is necessary to protect and guard human individual freedom and liberty.

I am so fucking tired of this!

You don't prefer the company of so-called 'smart' people...you prefer the company of those who agree with your view of things. Anyone who doesn't is branded a Neanderthal, racist or a retard. Nice hypocrisy there, cloudy. ;)

I'm glad that you and the other so called 'smart' people have found another on-line community to vent your spleen about how fucked up the USA is...and how BHA is gonna save us all. You won't be missed, I assure you.

A free exchange of ideas is what made this country great...in your world that's retarded...or racist...or whatever. Go whine somewhere else.
