Oh....I forgot.

There's nothing to discuss.

Even America is overchallenged with taking some refugees.

Seems like Germany has to do all the job.

I bet about 15% of those invaders in Germany and Austria are Syrian the rest just say they are and I bet they left safe havens. if you're such gullible idiots and decided to break the Dublin Convention and unilaterally invite half of the third world to Germany then deal with it.

Maybe before the 'invasion', the division was like that. It's a bit different to what we have now in numbers.

More than 230 000 people applied for asylum in Germany this year, a rise of 122 %, and we expect 800 000 at the end of the year and 1,5 million over the years.

if you're such gullible idiots and decided to break the Dublin Convention and unilaterally invite half of the third world to Germany then deal with it.

Actually, the most of what was written in Dublin II was insisted by Germany. You call it gullible that we realized it doesn't work, I call it realism.

And we can deal with it. We always dealed with even much bigger figures of (economic or not) refugees. Alone 6 million Silesians after the war. 3 million East Germans etc.

For the current case I think twenty five years is sufficient. At some point you can't really hold anybody liable regardless of if it was their fault.

It kinda sucks for Germany.

No, it doesn't. We're fine, and we're prospered from solving our problems. Living in East Germany is much better than it was 25 years before.

But that's the thing I don't understand: America was always the country for immigrants, and it still prospers from them. So what's the problem with taking refugees, in general?

Germany still didn't help break it and they had wanted these guys they would have been there already. Also isn't 25 years ago before the fall of the wall? I'm unclear on if that is a fair benchmark for things. But I'm an American so maybe it is.

America has always hated immigrants. Just like all people everywhere. We simply made a campaign promise out of pretending otherwise. And as I mentioned earlier prospering/doing well is a matter of opinion. Most Americans don't feel that we are doing particularly well.

You don't get a prospered economic infrastructure overnight, so no matter if it's before or after the fall of the wall, 25 years before now it was a bad situation for East Germany. The most of the industry remediate itself to death, millions of jobs get lost. A lot of people emigrate, a lot took a really long way to work in Western Germany.

GOOD!!! THEN TAKE THEM ALLLLL! Germany should take ALL the Syrian refugees. :D

If they were made to take care of themselves there would be zero problem.

But as it stands they represent little more than a bazzillion dollar welfare bill and social disturbance. We can't even employ/feed our own people right now, we are firing them all for foreign workers as fast as we can.

Last thing America needs right now is more people.

Now, if we want to stop giving bazzllions of dollars away to all these shit hole countries with starving children and shit that all hate us with a white searing passion then maybe we can talk about building a town for the other people that hate us with a white searing passion here in our own back yard. But currently the bleeding heart fund for people that hate us is totally fuckin' tapped out right now bro!

Personally I think we should cut them all off and give them the finger.....no one appreciates any good america does, just bitch bitch bitch about how evil it is. Know what? Fuck em we should be more greedy and we should let a bunch of spoiled lil fuckers hang in the wind for a bit to remind them just how fucking awesome M'uricuh is.

That was kind of my point though. I mean shit sucked, things being better than then is a little low of a benchmark no?

Atm, that's close to what happened. UK promised to take 10 000, France will take 20 000, Poland is ready to take 200. We'll take 800 000 this year. Lebanon and Turkey already have millions, but nobody wants to stay there.

Syrian refugees aren't economic refugees, a lot of them aren't even poor. Some of them are able to pay traffickers thousands of dollars. A lot of them are high educated, a lot have entrepreneur abilities.

But yes, you don't like them, it's the easiest explanation.

Fair assessment. I was in Germany however. . .for a whopping two hours most of which I spent refusing beer. :D

My statement was simply that I don't know if we can say that Germany is or is not suffering from immigrants. At least not any more than a man who just got out of prison can claim his knew lease on life is due to having the internet and you know. . .not being in jail or any combination of other factors.

Those rich Gulf States that wax poetic on how Europeans are Islamophobic when they don't think how they want seem to be rather averse to taking people in...

I do agree that the US should take in more people though, both for moral and for geopolitical reasons.

Bullshit...by taking them in here they would be.

If they can buy a house, get a job lined up and pay an entry tax no problem...they can get in line.

Otherwise I say fuck em.

But yes, you don't like them, it's the easiest explanation.

It's not about liking them, it's just business.

Such as???

We're definitely not suffering from immigrants. We need them in a lot of ways.

Germany has one of the lowest birth rates in the world, and even subsidizing families with children haven't changed anything. That's just one point.

Obviously they can't get in line, even if they can do all these things. That's the thing.

There really is no time for a line when ISIS is literally beheading people. The time for a line was a decade back. Now the question is do we give a shit that people ar edying that we could help and it's a yes or no question after which the next questions are how many and how or tough shit.
