The "Search by Author" is a very, very, iffy function. Really, the only way you're going to get anyone to look at your stuff is by posting a link to your story. I'll assume you don;t know how to do that, so here's how:
(1) Go to your story.
(2) Right click on the Address bar at the top of your browser.
(3) From the drop down list, choose "copy"
(4) Come back here and write your message
(5) With the cursor in the message box, right click again/
(6) From the dropdown list, select "paste"
(7) That's it. Just post the message as usual
