I knew it! I knew we had a damn earthquake! I felt the building shake a little bit, but when I asked everybody else around, they said they hadn't felt it. I'm actually all the way down in San Diego.

I felt it, too, but it was just a little one.

Siren, honey, there are earthquakes in Washington, too. Pacific rim, remember? "Ring of fire?" The Cascades?

Yeah, and watch out for those volcanos. I visited Mt. St. Helens a few years ago, and I've never seen such devastation! Bah, earthquakes are nothing to worry about. If you get under your flimsy half-desk and cover your head you'll be juuuust fine.

At least that's what they told us in school.

SHAKE, RATTLE, AND ROLL

I know what you mean, Siren. We had two here in Burbank a couple of weeks ago. They both sounded like something had fallen from the sky and landed right in front of my door. The first one lasted about 2 seconds and the second (a 4.3 on the Recker scale) lasted about 4 seconds.

A 4.3? Piffle! That's nothing to even open your eyes for. Shit, a sonic boom rattles more stuff than that! LOL

A 4.3 is a big deal here in PA! Hell we had a 4.7 a few years back and it made Philly's news!
