And where at least one board member gets his his fracking "science."

Russia’s goal is to “suppress the widespread adoption of fracking in Europe and the U.S.,” according to a letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin from House Science, Space and Technology Committee chairman Lamar Smith and energy subcommittee chairman Randy Weber.

“If you connect the dots, it is clear that Russia is funding U.S. environmental groups in an effort to suppress our domestic oil and gas industry, specifically hydraulic fracking,” said Mr. Smith, Texas Republican, in a Friday statement.

“They have established an elaborate scheme that funnels money through shell companies in Bermuda,” he said. “This scheme may violate federal law and certainly distorts the U.S. energy market. The American people deserve to know the truth and I am confident Secretary Mnuchin will investigate the allegations.”

The Republicans said the panel is already conducting oversight into “what appears to be a concerted effort by foreign entities to funnel millions of dollars through various non-profit entities to influence the U.S. energy market.”

Certainly Russia has a motive. The widespread adoption of hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling has fueled an energy boom in the United States that threatens Russian exports of oil and natural gas, which accounted for 68 percent of the country’s export revenue in 2013.

And we saw what they were trying to prevent in Abu Ivanka al-Amriki's speech in Poland. They were trying to make sure that they maintained their energy monopoly.

Who knows? This is one area where President Obama displayed his "flexibility." Perhaps he was doing a little indirect "colluding" based on doctored (fake) Russian political "science."

Why would we be sending energy, you know, dirty fossil fuel?

I thought that they were going to go green, renewable and "stop the rising tides..."

This has been known for some time now. Russians and Saudis both have been funding the environmental movement in the US and elsewhere. The Russians through the KGB funded much of the anti-war movement in the US during the Vietnam War as well.

Acceptable form of conversation.

The KGB funded anti Vietnam war and all other shit as well

Tell us something we dont know or FUCK OFF

Progressive Liberal format...

Absolute bomb news.

That wasn't where you were headded I suspect, but it reminded me of a thread started by EternalFantasy, I think.
Re claims that the war in Syria started over competiting interests re delivery of gas to Europe.

Then you have Ukraine, another potential cortidor for pipelines.

Not really, dummy. But no one expects you to see the difference.

I remembered hearing this a while back.
From wiki:

In January 2013, Al Jazeera Media Network purchased Current TV, which was partially owned by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore.

Not just Russia who has invested interest.

Yes. A lot of this conflict has to do with the Russian attempt at creating an energy monopoly and positioning their military assets to protect it.

That would be a fantastic thread: If you, EF or someone else started with this hypothesis,
then analysed the major international events from this vantage point and connected the dots.

Quick question:
The different geostrategical interests and war over influence (US and Russia //UK, France Germany etc.) were clear for a long time.
But roughly when did they start focusing on this energy monopoly or oil thing? :rose:

As I posted in another thread, John McCain doesn't get a lot right in my opinion, but he did when he stated Russia is a gas station pretending to be a country. The energy Oligarchs take all the profit, kick a lot of it upstairs to Putin by way of protection money and then they all send their money out of the country in order to protect it.

It's the mafia, Russian-style, and they were blackmailing their customers with cutting off their energy, forcing them to pay inflated prices.

The US has just signaled that it is not about to let that happen.

So fucking what?

Go back to you're, "I'm only here to have fun thread."

What you have here is the 333rd attempt by the TimesWaPoCNN coalition to finally "get" him...

Get back to us when they have "gotten" him. Or go have a nice long conversation with your scientific equal FroDOH!.
