Hello, everyone! I just thought that I'd share, because I'm soo excited! One of my girls (An Australian Cattle Dog) -- Bantagabee's Red Zebra, AKA Zebra had her puppies this morning...she went into labor at about 1:00 AM, and we just finshed with the last puppy about an hour ago. I am one tired "grandma"...not near as tired as Zebra, I'm sure. So, anyways...I just thought I'd share!!

BTW, I have another litter that will be going to their new homes in three weeks. They're Australian Shepherds, though.

LOL, I'm sure you all could care less, but I'm excited, so bare with me, please.

I didn't think anybody would. And about them being cute -- nope. Not yet!

Two boys and three girls. And right now, they all look exactly alike. I can't wait until their colors start showing. If anyone wants pictures in a few weeks, I'd be happy to send some!!

I most certainly will, Raven! LOL! I'm imagining you saying this "cats will do in a pinch, non?!" with a wonderful Frenchie accent. Do you speak French fluently? I do, I do!

Anyhow, you be expecting puppy pictures in about two weeks!!

Cool about the pups.....I had a pair of Australian Blue Healers once named Little Bit and Big DoG.....but we called them Syd and Nancy.....some of the best dogs I've ever seen. No cattle around where I lived but they used to try to herd me on my mountain bike. One would get at my front tire on one side and the other on my back tire on the other side and try to make me go in a straight line. Drive them crazy if I rode around in circles. Anyway, very nice that the delivery went well. Hope mom, (and you the grandma), as well as the pups are happy and healthy.

I love puppies! I've had dogs all my life (not in the sense that some of you have had dogs, of course), and have always considered myself a dog person even though I now have a lil kittie I'm totally in love with. Congrats, Bossy! You should post pics when you can so we can oooh and ahh!

LOL! Laurel...you've got yourself into some trouble with that last comment, Love.

I could send a picture of the boy I'm keeping from my last AS litter, if you all would like. He's a black tri named Ranger.

Can you tell I'm a proud dog-mommy?

Bossy

Nope, I canay speak french, but for a few select words that is... I am how ever into japanese as a hobby... Still don't know enough to be impressive yet but I do have my own handy dandy little english/japanese dictionary... Heheh!

Bossy, I'd love to see some pics too *g*

Laurel, I think you soon can have a new section - members and their pets *g*.. just thinking of your and Ravenloft's pussies *chuckles*

<grin> Congratulations.

Count me in for pictures. I'm an advid dog lover. I have a German Hunting Terrier and my parents raise Jack Russell's.

Damnit Slut-boy!!! Why did you have to go and be all that more handsomer than me?! What did I ever do to you?! Huh?! Well?! Come on! Tell me!!! Blasted lawers and their damnable khaki pants...

Heheh!

Congrats!!! I hope Grandmother, mother and children are all in good health and spirits.

Hi, everyone! Just thought I'd let you all know that I have pictures, now! Let me know if ya want 'em.

Proud Gramma Bossy

Hey bossy...you didn't say how big a litter she threw. But if it was a large one, you may want to consider giving momma some puppy chow once a day (or at least some mixed in with her regular food). The puppy chow (especially the hard food) is rich in calcium. And this will help her keep from getting eclampsia (calcium deficiency.

And congrats!! Tho..this could also open another post on spaying & neutering. BUt, sounds like you are a wonderful mother who is very responsible. So, I am sure all of these pups will wind up in loving homes!

Lajo,

I appreciate your reply tremendously! It's great to know that there are others out there.

My mom dogs are always on puppy formula whether they have one pup, or 14. I won't go into my whole breeding policy here.

A bit boring for everyone...but if you'd like to talk -- feel free to e-mail me.

Bossy

No need to go into your breeding philosophy. From your posts, it appears to me you are the "responsible" breeder. And not the backyard breeder who "just wants little fifi to have one litter. So the kids can see the miracle of birth."

You're the pet owner I never worry about.

Hey... wondering how the puppies are? And the Mom?

The puppies are full of it (really!). Mommy dog is just fine...getting a bit sick of the babes, but getting on.

Now that they're getting older, I'm allowing her more time away...she's quite reluctant to get back into the welping box!

And Lajo, thank you. You are correct. I do fancy myself a responsible breeder.
