Driving down the street on a sunny day with the windows down, the sun roof open or the top down with Joe Cocker blaring on the stereo. And no place to go and no compulsion to be there. And your lovemate sitting next to you smiling "that" smile that makes your juices flow.

That's way cool. And how about you??

I think you just described my fantasy day. Notice "fantasy..?" I never get to do that much...

Know what would be better though? Just add a romantic rendezvous for a destination, and you've got it made.

How about this???

The patio lights are on, the frogs are singing and the sky is that blue/black color that makes your heart break. You've just had a wonderful dinner and your wine glasses are ready to be refilled but you don't care . You lay back on your chaise and your love mate joins you and....

Blue's taken but at a cost that most..

wouldn't be willing to pay. Says me.
Dr. blue has paid her dues. You truly don't want a part of me, except for the BB. Trust me. I'm no bargain.

Blue, last one I remember like that was a rented cabin in the mountains, spent the day being lazy, reading a book in a hammock on the porch. Fired up the grill and had a great T-bone with a huge baked potatoe, then slipped into the hot tub on the deck with a cold one, my lady in the crook of my arm as we watched the lights appear in the city below as dusk fell.

My favorite tune from him....

Artist: Joe Cocker
Album: Non Album Tracks
Song: With A Little Help From My Friends

What would you think if I sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key.

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

What do I do when my love is away
(Does it worry you to be alone?)
How do I feel by the end of the day,
(Are you sad because you're on your own?)

No, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody
I need somebody to love
Could it be anybody
I want somebody to love.

Would you believe in a love at first sight
Yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time
What do you see when you turn out the light
I can't tell you but I know it's mine,

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody
I just need someone to love
Could it be anybody
I want somebody to love.

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
with a little help from my friends.

This reminded me of that scene in American Graffiti

Where the guy in his yellow hotrod asks the girls in the car next to him if they want ride with him. The one says no but her cousin would. The guy goes Alright and when the girl jumps in she turns out to be 15! He says Get out! but he can't get rid of her for the rest of the night...lololololol

One of my all-time favorite songs...makes me want to cry, and smile at the same time...

There's something about...

"You Can Leave Your Hat On" that just makes me want to strip. Sadly, I will never look like Kim Bassinger naked. On the other hand, I'm not a neurotic, paranoid, shrewish freak either, so it's a fair trade off.

DarlingBri....

"You Can Leave Your Hat On" is the tune I love to play in my car, real loud. It was the only good part of the movie in which I first heard it. Except, of course, the strip tease that it highlighted. I can understand how it might motivate you.

And I bet you look every bit as good as Kim Bassinger. Just ask your Dad. He'll tell you so.

Another good one....

Artist: Joe Cocker
Album: No Ordinary World
Song: Soul Rising

YESTERDAY, I WAS OUT IN THE RAIN
WONDERING WHEN I'D SEE THE SUN AGAIN
LONELY HEARTS, BABY, I WROTE THE BOOK
SINCE SHE WALKED AWAY WITHOUT A SECOND LOOK

OH…BUT NOW I FEEL GOOD
COS' YOU LOOK AT ME
THE WAY A WOMAN SHOULD

I FEEL MY SOUL RISING TO A NEW LOVE
NO BLUES I CAN'T RISE ABOVE
I FEEL MY SOUL RISING WHEN I'M CLOSE TO YOU
WHEN YOUR WITH ME GIRL
THERE'S NOTHING I CAN'T DO

YESTERDAY I WAS FALLING APART
PICKING UP PIECES OF MY BROKEN HEART
YEAH…. BUT ONE TOUCH OF YOUR HEALING HAND
24 HOURS LATER I'M A WHOLE NEW MAN

YEAH, AND I'M STRONGER NOW
COS' YOU MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE SOME HOW

I FEEL MY SOUL RISING TO A NEW LOVE
NO BLUES I CAN'T RISE ABOVE
I FEEL MY SOUL RISING WHEN I'M CLOSE TO YOU
WHEN YOUR WITH ME GIRL
THERE'S NOTHING I CAN'T DO

I GOT SUNSHINE ON A BRAND NEW DAY
AND THE GREY CLOUDS HAVE ALL DRIFTED AWAY
AND THERE'S NOBODY THAT I CAN'T BE
IF IT'S YOU AND ME
