Watermarks

Easiest way is to put them in a paint or art program and put an image or letter over the top.

Put it somewhere that it cannot be removed and still have the image look normal.

Save it as a copy, so you have the original still. And put the copies up.

That's the simple way at least.

Most pros do it in Photoshop (GIMP is a free version of Photoshop-like software) by adding a layer with the watermark, then compressing the layers so the watermark can't be removed (easily, at least).

I don't know how well the (especially free) batch watermarking software works, but maybe someone here has an idea.

Regardless of how you do it, you'll want to place your watermark on an area of your pics that can't be cropped away. The professionals do it right in/across the center or on the diagonal, so it pretty much covers the good stuff.

You'll also want to consider what you want your watermark to be. For instance, if you put "QueenofBlades" and post your pics here, then also have the same username associated with your email address, Facebook, etc., you could be unwittingly leading folks you don't want to share your pics with right to those pics, and you won't really have any plausible deniability.
