Watching one man

That's overestimating Vetteman just a little bit.

With Congress undermining the President, it's a great time for America's enemies to get busy!

He's doing a great job all by himself. What's the odds that Saudi Arabia beats Iran to the Bomb?

When is Israel going to strike?

How long before, if they haven't already, Japan decides the US cannot be trusted as an ally.

Japan owns too much of this country to de-ally us.

Never underestimate the incentive of self-preservation. The political class in Japan has been prepping the public for the possibility of their going nuclear. Fukushima has been a set back, but only a set back.

Shut the fuck up child molester.

You're more than welcome to come down here and try and shut me up, old man. I suspect I'll be more of a challenge than either of those children you killed.

The Twelvers already have "the Bomb"...

...the current talks are simply to beg them to not brandish them yet.

The House of Saud already has "the Bomb", too...

...they're locked, loaded, and ready for immediate delivery from their nuke partner, Pakistan.

These are all good questions.

You forgot Putin...he's taking advantage of Washington's infighting as well.

Too bad the House & Senate can't support the office of the President for the good of the country.

The lack of teamwork and respect for the President's role in external affairs is creating real trouble.

The meltdown has Obama officials defending their management of a region that some call impossible to control, even as critics say U.S. policies there are partly to blame for the spreading anarchy.

Not everyone is so forgiving. “We’re in a goddamn free fall here,” said James Jeffrey, who served as Obama’s ambassador to Iraq and was a top national security aide in the George W. Bush White House.

For years, members of the Obama team have grappled with the chaotic aftermath of the Arab Spring. But of late they have been repeatedly caught off-guard, raising new questions about America’s ability to manage the dangerous region.

Yeah, that is not at all the problem. What support has he requested that is within his purview that has been with-held? They have the power of the purse, and for that matter to ratify treaties. He gets to ask them to go to war. He hasn't bothered.

Not surprisingly, you left out the "money quote" from the article....

Right, like I'm going to snippet the whole thing past an introduction. The argument and idea of the article are framed from what I posted.

Do you want me to tell you how to interpret it? Obviously we all know your opinion of it. I posted the articles opinion of the article in reference to the OP post of this thread.

I only put it here since no one is providing any basis of proof for WTF they are talking about.

Assumptions are stupid. Pick a fight with someone else.

Shocking that you would not feel the need to parrot the ACTUAL "talking points" that were included as an aside for "balance" as given directly from "senior Obama officials." As if the fact that the administration says. "Nuh, UHH!" means anything at all with no supporting argument. As JBJ likes to say, that is not an argument it is a quarrel. They are not even supporting their position with their general statement.

That is like Phrodeau in Rob's unfortunate (and completely undefended) thread about Obama's Energy policy having the effect of lowering oil prices. Phrodeau says since they have a slogan "all of the above" that even if none of their policies had the intent or the effect of encouraging oil production or consumption, they get the credit based on a slogan.

A "money quote" is not one that vaguely supports one's ideology; a money quote is one that contains the heart and soul of an actual, supported argument being made.

No need to squeal, spanky. I simply pointed out that you apparently missed the gist of the article. Not surprising in the least, honestly.

The Fraud befriends our enemies and alienates our allies. He's doing everything he can to hurt the US.

You're a bit late this week with your weekly diatribe "This week we should all hate President Obama because __________________".

The "gist?"

So you read the article and your takeaway was that the author of the article wanted to convey the prepared statement of "Senior Obama Officials" that:

there are limits to what the U.S. can accomplish in the region. They argue that the chaos is fueled by ethnic and religious forces largely beyond America’s control...

So he sat down at his computer after getting that "money quote" from "Senior Obama Officials" and just put some niceties to frame and support that quote.

That is the central theme? The theme is, "Well, what are you gonna do?" ~shrug~

-What an insightful summary of the article on your part.

This all started 12 years ago this month, with the war Ish and Miles, among many others, spent any number of posts cheering on.

So please fuck right off.
