Waste vs. Waist

Good grief authors!!! There is a difference! For those of you that are apparently not clear on the distinction:

Waist is just above your hips
Waste is a good story with distracting misspellings!

Think about it! I don't know about you guys but it's a shame when I read about a lady putting her arms around her man's waste! Sounds like she's hugging his shit!

Sorry but PLEASE check your spelling authors!

YES God Damn it!

If you're going to use the wrong word at least spell it right!

W - A - S - T - E

You know...

...the best way to combat this is when you see it, drop the author a little note.

It's one thing to complain about misspellings, but unless YOUR spell checker catches homonyms, a lot of time its an honest mistake (just like there and their).

Most people put a lot of work into their stories, and after the 15th reread, such a subtle mistake is not always obvious.

And for the record, I'm not the malefactor :)

To quote Steve Allen, "All seriousness aside...."

You are exactly right Bob. My stories have been known to have a goof or two like that. You try to proof them and best as you can but you end up scanning more than reading in then end. In my case, being mindly dyslexic doesn't help. Dyslexia bitch is a.

I may have made the wasit error by I'm more likely to drop the "r" in "your" and use "your" instead of "you're".

What about, "stroking your hard coke" or "sucking your coke" i mean first of all, i drink Dr. Pepper, but second of all ask before ya Bogart my drink.....

Nah. The sex I get right. It's the other stuff that gets messy.

I drop last letters a lot. "they" becomes "the" and stuff like that.

Why is it always the 'R' that gets dropped?

Or "I stoked and liked her nipples." instead of Stroked and Licked.

This is called "too much trust in your spell-checker"

And why is it that most of the typos that leave words your spell-check passes over are just missing an R? Stoking for Stroking, You for Your, He for Her, Thee for There, etc.

But I do like her nipples :)

My main problem is hitting t for y and vice-versa. I also have begun having my wife proof read to catch the homonims. To say nothing of the bad puntuation.

Such a ditz!!

Ok this is my first post so me kind to me. I have a screenname QuenofTyops on another forum and it is fairly self explanatory. I can spell just not type. Soooooooooooo i have prided my self on not making errors when i type ((well keeping them to the bare mimimum, or is that bear)).

A typo is nowhere near as bad as discovering that a submission you have made and had accepeted was actually three different stories in one. ((Such a BLONDE moment)). And the parts that were not supposed to have been submitted are FULL of typos.

Gosh darnit I am human after all............ thank God i can laugh at myself.............................. ROFL.

Tell the writer!! Feedback!!

I'd want it. I have been told of spelling errors I miss. Guess what? Literotica lets us edit our work after initial posting.

Give a writer a hand and be helpful and constructive. if you can't do that, dont expect things to improve.

Did you prefer out right attacks or constructive information? I liked the bits and pieces I could put together and I hope that "blonde blunder" doesn't discourage you from writing more.

I didn't realize you were human though. :) Sorry. *giggle*

Be sure you let me know when it is all cleaned up.

:)
