Someone has hacked the 'sheckystiller' account and then modified many of his threads with titles of "I don't like this thread and I don't want it anymore" or something to that effect. I've banned the account to stop more threads from being affected.

If you find these threads in your stories and it has been previously approved, just answer 'No' to the 'Approve Thread' question to the modification request with a comment of 'Hack attack'.
Thank you for your time.

Is this why you've temporarily adopted non-abandoned stories as well?

Edit: And yes, rejecting an edited thread results in it disappearing.

Are these threads that were previously approved?

If these threads have the text intact, then you could just fix the title.

That's what happened in one of my adopted stories the last time this happened. I rejected the "edits" and they vanished into thin air.

Hmmm, that's not supposed to happen. If we had active developers on here, I'd have a lot of suggestions for them.

At least that's what I think happened, it was a couple of months ago at least.

Okay, I've got it now.

If you go to advanced search, search for threads of sheckystiller's, you'll find the denied threads. For those in your stories, you can change the title and the Continue and say Continue yes. and it'll fix it.

Wow. Do you ever get the sense that Chyoo is like some ancient piece of machinery that's still needed, but it has developed so many idiosyncrasies and the manual was lost so long ago that now it functions only through one bizarre workaround after another?

Why yes, I do. I feel like the engineer in charge of a web site run by a steam-powered difference engine.

Did you suspend access to the account. I've approved a thread and it's been edited again asking for for deletion.

Shecky's threads

I had four in one story. Once I figured out which thread was which in the story, I copied and pasted Shecky's original thread over the hacked thread. Unfortunately, I had to give each thread a new title and continuing question. I hope the real Shecky is pleased with my titles and that he/she keeps writing under a new pseudonym.

Try updating your security measures to stop it happening again.

Make sure your firewall, anti virus and windows operating system are up to date. Do weekly anti-virus scans of your computer.
Choose a password that is not a real word and is a mix of lower case and upper case letters, numbers and special characters. Don't store it anywhere on your computer.
Don't stay logged in. Log out of your Literotica account every time you finish.
When you type in your password, skip a couple of characters, then use your mouse to go back and fill in the gaps.

Another possibility is to switch email to Gmail.com. All of their sessions are encrypted, not just the login phase.
