So, I seem to remember someone once said that the mark of a good author is knowing what your limits are. After having posted a couple stories (and written dozens of others), it seems that my skill as a writer is.... lacking.

That being said, I still have (what I believe to be) amazing stories that I would love to see told.

The first one, which I actually have a very, VERY rough draft of (really, it's probably more of a storyboard idea, truth be told), involves a handsome man, meeting an attractive, married woman. After weeks of building a rapport together, they become lovers, with the husband having his suspicions, and eventually uncovering the affair.

At this point, the lover really takes charge, and tells the husband how things are going to work from now on. To prove his point, he locks husband up in the closet, and calls the wife over, where the action heats up quickly, culminating with the wife donning a strap-on as her husband is hauled out of the closet.

If this idea appeals to you, let me know and I will happily send you my notes on the story.

I would really like to see justice done to this story, and I know that I don't have it in me to do that.

I don't think you should give up on writing it yourself, Elbryan1371. Your post is better written than many of the stories on Lit. And even if you aren't enamored of your writing skills just yet, they will still improve with time. And with practice.

Ah, the joys of finding time to slack off.

Sean Renaud said that I should post up what I alread have, here, to increase my chances of getting an author, so here goes.

First off, the characters:

There are three main characters, Steven, Jennifer, and Alex.

Alex - 32 Years old.
6'2" 225# Athletic, Muscular build.

Overall tan

Dark brown hair, brown eyes.

Single.

Started his own landscaping business 12 years ago (at 20). Now works behind the scenes (and behind a desk, mostly), managing 6, five-man teams. He is in fantastic shape, works out three to four times a week. Domineering personality, but friendly. Not afraid to hang out with his employees after work, but at work is all business.

Alex is working out at the local gym. As he is leaving, he notices Jennifer having car trouble and offers his assistance. Can't seem to fix the problem, but offers to drive Jen home, since her husband is still at work and can't come get her.

Once home, she invites him in for dinner, to which he accepts. About 30 minutes later, just as dinner is about finished cooking, Steven comes home.

Jennifer introduces Alex to Steven and explaines the situation to him. Alex mentiones that he has a friend that is a mechanic that owes him a favor, and that he would take Jennifer's car to him the next day.

Steven reluctantly agrees to Alex's plan, and they all enjoy dinner together. Although there is a slight amount of sexual tension between Alex and Jennifer, Steven seems oblivious to it.

After dinner, Alex takes his leave, saying he will call Jennifer about the car when he learns what is wrong with it. Jennifer, feeling truly excited for the first time in months, jumps Steven in the living room. After a few minutes, he blows his load, and leaves her in the living room, unsatisfied, saying he is tired and needs to get to work early in the morning. Since Jen has the day off tomorrow, she won't need her car anyway.

11:00 a.m. the next morning, Alex calls Jen and says that the problem with her car is nothing major, but his friend won't have the part until the next morning, with the car being ready later that same afternoon.

She asks Alex if he wouldn't mind taking her to the store, as she needs to pick up something for dinner. He agrees and picks her up at noon. After the store, they decide to stop for a late lunch. The sexual tension continues to build, with Steven exerting more and more of his dominant side.

Over the next month or so, their friendship grows to the point where they are meeting for lunch 3-4 times a week, and meeting at the gym almost as much. Around this time, Jennifer and Steven stop having sex altogether. After a month of this, Alex and Jen start going out for dinner/drinks after the gym, and Steven, while noticing, barely reacts.

Steven's inattention to Jen makes her more succeptable to Alex's advances.

The wife of one of Alex's former employees has taken over hosting one of the city's biggest cancer fundraisers, and Alex invites Jen and Steve as his guests. Big production, big names, polititians, celebs, coctails, etc.

They all arrive during the opening coctail hour at 6:00. An hour after arriving, Steven gets called back to the office. Jen tells him to go, but to come back as soon as he can. Steven, reluctantly, agrees. Afterward, Alex agrees to "keep her company" until Steve gets back, taking her around, introducing her as his girlfriend, meeting some of the movers and shakers of California as well as some more prominent b-list celebs.

At 8:00, Steven calls Jen to tell her that his boss is sending him up to L.A. tonight, to settle an issue with one of their biggest clients. Since it is a two-hour drive, and the problem will likely take several hours to work out, he will be staying in a motel in L.A. and tells her that he's sorry, but he won't be able to pick her up, as he is already on the I-5.

Naturally, Jen is pissed, but Alex is there and calms her down, somewhat. "Tonight was supposed to be a special night for us. We even got a room here at the hotel." etc.

More champagne flows, and soon the two of them are on the dance floor, as the sexual tension between them becomes too much for Jen to deny any more. Passion erupts between them and they retire to Jen and Steven's room for the night, where they screw relentlessly until the wee hours of the morning.

9:45 a.m. Jen wakes to a phone call from Steven, telling her that, whatever issue he is dealing with, still hasn't been resolved, and that he probably won't be back until this afternoon at the earliest. She explains that she drank too much last night and stayed in their room at the hotel. Since he won't be back in time for checkout, she would just call Alex for a ride home.

They screw in bed, and again in the shower, just making it out in time for checkout, at which point they drive home to Jen's house and screw again for a few more hours until Steven calls and tell her that he's finally on his way home, at which point, despite his urgings, Jen sends Alex home so that she can clean up herself, and the house.

Alex's business booms after the fundraiser, to the point where he has had to hire on three new teams, so he is having to work harder than ever, and the stress is starting to affect his behavior. He decides to hire on a part-time secretary and, as Jen has been laid off from her job, decides to hire her.

Steven doesn't like the situation, but, meekly accepts it, as it DOES help bring in a little more money into the household.

Using her new, boosted, income, Jen starts to buy some new outfits to wear to her job at Alex's office. 4" heels, nylons, low-cut blouses, short skirts. As Alex is driving, he calls Jen, saying that he has some paperwork at his house that they both need to go over tonight, and to be there in half an hour.

Once Steve and Alex arrive, Alex once again takes control of Steven, shoving him into the house and up the stairs to his bedroom. Hi. That rough draft was over 1,500 words long! Polished up or not, in Lit's eyes that's a story! If I may ask, since you tell people "not to steal your ideas" why did you write this on the Story Idea board? The purpose of this board is for people to share ideas with one another. Typically that means said ideas are open for any author who takes interest.


Also, to quote RisiaSkye (the former mod here):

Hi Rubi.
Just to address a couple of points. The whole "no stealing my ideas" line was only intended to be taken as a joke. I often have problems with people not being able to read my mind, and know EXACTLY how I intended things to sound, but that's MY fault, not yours.
The second point I'd like to address, is that while my rough draft maybe over 1500 words, it does not count as a story in my opinion. Therefore, I do believe I am still posting in the correct forum, as it is only an idea for a story, and not yet a story in its own right.
All that being said, I still think I've taken this story as far as my abilities have allowed me to take it. As such, if anyone is willing to take over the story for me, I would be more than willing to allow them to do so, though I would appreciate some recognition in the final product.
