Hi All:

I have two stories up on the site so far with another in the pending area. I have noticed my stories are not really getting much feedback, good or bad so that I might improve on my style or change my approach to writing. One story has been read almost 15,000 times while the other has been read almost 28,000 times in the two days it has been up on the site, and yet I've recieved maybe a total of nine comments between the two stories. Anyone have some suggestions on how to get more constructive criticism?

There are a lot of threads on this topic, but I'd say read other authors' work and post or send some feedback for them. Many authors will return the favor.

Of the general lit public, expect around 0.3% of the reads to leave feedback or a vote.

You might also add a link to your stories in your signature here.

4u-

As Tanuki said, the best way to get feedback is to give feedback. I suggest going to the Author's Hangout and posting on a few threads and getting to know some of the people. Take some time to read other stories and communicate with other authors on Lit.

And you do need a link to your stories.

Post this in your signature line: http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=338688&page=submissions

On your Control Panel Page, check Edit Profile, and in the box for your signature, place that link. You can also insert a specific title for it - My Stories - whatever.

I haven't had a chance to read your stories yet - I hope I can do so later today.

Good luck!

:)

OK...how do I link to my stories?

Thanks for the responses....so, how does one find and attach a link to their posts so people can more easily find the story?

As far as comments go, you are doing better than I am, at least on those two stories. Starting this year, I have been including a paragraph at the end of every story asking for votes and comments and it helps a lot. I get more of each now than I did last year. You can copy the paragraph if you want or write your own.:D

In your profile under signature, it should look something like this. Copy the http link from your story to replace mine, and put your title in:

My stories:

<A HREF="http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=139055">Your story title </A>

Hope that answers your question!
