A man (or woman) wakes up one day to find that they are now living in a porno movie. Actually, I think this could be a series of stories that each start the same sort of way. Man/woman wakes up and doesn't realize what's happened. As the day goes on, stranger and stranger things happen. And example: His secretary crawls under his desk to give him a hummer, just before his newly busty boss walks in. He tries to play it off, but she finds out and joins in.

Basically a lot of tongue in cheek sort of things where a "normal" person tries to adapt to a life in a porno.

No, not an actual movie set. You just wake up in a world where the laws of the universe are those you would find in a porno. Everyone is suddenly hot, all the men have giant dicks and shoot copious come, etc.

Every time a housewife calls a plumber, he never ends up under the sink. The pool boy services more than the pool, the secretary is always taking dick-tation. There is suddenly no such thing as STD's or accidental pregnancy (after all, there still has to be Ready to Drop porn).

Is this a Deja vu kind of thing? Cause if it is, then it might turn out to be kind of interesting, as it can be spun into a series . . .

Not sure what you meant by Deja vu thing, but the series idea (as I saw it) was that this awakening in a porno world keeps happening to different people. Maybe some kinky god keeps transporting people from one universe to the other. Although another possibility is that it is the same person, and each day he wakes up with a different job (kind of like a porno quantum leap).

Anyway, I'm just curious what it would be like to live in a movie universe. The sort of place where all Asians know kung-fu, where everyone has a gun, where half the bars are strip clubs and the rest are honkey-tonk bars, the land where hookers have hearts of gold.

Whoa, three different takes, all on the same idea.

The literal waking up in a porno would be rather tricky, depending on the characters. There are some sites where the girl is 'sleeping' while she's being fucked, but a story similar to that would be difficult to pull off.

I like your porno (Sims-like) life idea. Could turn into something special. Don't worry about my Deja Vu thing. It will pan out better for another series I'm working on.

My greatest regret is that there appear to be so few of them, and I lack the skill to write more.

Back on topic: what direction do you see this going? Our hero(ine) learning to live with this depraved new world? Finding a way home? I'd prefer the former...unless the latter causes our world to start taking on the characteristics of the porn world...

I was definately thinking more along the lines of the person learning to live with the new world (s)he's in. Although it might be fun for two of the people who get warped over to end up meeting and having "normal" interactions. Maybe they start a movie company that shows "dirty" films which are all about falling in love.

I do like the idea of making it a series, with a different person waking up in a porno version of their life each time, as it would give us a fairly broad view of this porn-world. Asides from the office and suburban-housewife settings you refer to there is a panopoly of others, f'r example, high school or college setting, or a church setting.

Then there's fetish porn...

Incidentally, something I'd like to see, although you might feel differently, is a fanfic or quasi-fanfic version of this. That is, write a fanfic in which a character deals with this situation, or have someone who's woken in porno world picking up a book /turning on the TV/popping in a DVD/etc. and seeing how the story/show/movie/etc is different in that universe.

Although it might be fun for two of the people who get warped over to end up meeting and having "normal" interactions. Maybe they start a movie company that shows "dirty" films which are all about falling in love.

My knowledge of porn is limited, but I do not believe that the two are neccesarily mutually exclusive.

Heh, if I wrote this, I'd include a running gag where the main character is trying to figure out where all the bass guitar riffs are coming from, which nobody else notices or acknowledges.

That said, this gives me a weird thought. When I fall asleep in the living room, it's not uncommon for me to have a dream based in whatever is on the TV (usually someone turning on the TV when they wake up at 6AM before work).

I have had dreams involving westerns, playing professional football (my team had a problem scoring touchdowns, but we had a kickass defensive line), and helping the Scoobie gang fight zombies in an old high school.

Anyhow, just imagine how weird it would be if someone started up a porno DVD while I was asleep.

I think this is a very amusing idea, personally. I'm feeling something sort of like that sci-fi show Eureka, where everyone in the town is a scientist and weird things happen all the time, and the main character (who is pretty much tossed into this world) has to realize that life is going to be different and that he has to try to adapt.

I'm picturing some very stereotypical lines and appearances. Tongue-in-cheek is a very good way to describe it.

I think this would also make a fun RP.

Nope, hasn't gone anywhere except the back burner yet. I have a couple of other stories I am really working on. One isfor the valentine's contest, so that has a timer on it. The other keeps demanding my attention because I want to get it out of my head, and want to find out how it ends as much as the readers seem to.

Actually, I was thinking about this last night, and I thought it might be fun to do this as a chain story, except with only two authors. Basically a man wakes up in this porn world, and the next chapter is a woman waking up. Maybe each chapter they end up with a different job, then in the 7th chapter or so they end up finding each other.

Just my unsolicited two cents but why not several characters having that experience of insertion to this parallel porn universe ? Borrow the device Tarantino uses in his films of the characters crossing paths and such.
