John Varley's works often have this as either a main them or as a sideline. My favorite novel is Steel Beach This book in particular has the main character change gender in the middle of the novel and deals with a lot of the choices, decisions, etc one would make in choosing to do this, something that is quite common in the book's setting.

I cannot decide how I would want to look as a female, though I think I would try it if it were possible. Hey, Grayze. I'll have to admit that I had not thought about P-diddy. I was thinking more about what we like physically in the opposite sex and what we might choose if given the opportunity.

If I were to be a women, I would prefer to be tall, have small, perky breasts and NOT be skinny. I far prefer a little extra weight, more like what we used to call "pleasingly plump", dark hair and complexion and a sexy aura and very playful.

You are describing what I as a male experienced growing up and sexually maturing. The time you become aware of your penis as more than a urine hose. The time you first enjoy playing with it.
