Waiting to post a story

Do other people find it somewhat depressing to wait longer to have a story posted? I submitted one on the 14th, which is a week ago and it is still pending. It shows two views now, so I know it has not been ignored or missed. Others that I have submitted this year have been posted in half the time. I find it depressing to wait and I wonder if others feel the same way.

This seemed to have begun with the many design changes here a few weeks ago. There were also problems with disappearing description lines as well as bizarre or disappearing keywords on submitted stories. I was told on another thread that they are aware of the problems at Lit.

There have been a noticeable decrease in the number of New stories added over that period. Great, if you one on because it gets a lot of reads. Bad, if you are waiting in the queue. I wonder if there will be a flood of New stories put up when this gets straightened out? Then the stories will get lost in the rush and we'll wish they didn't get put up at all.

The wait is frustrating, and it's too bad that they couldn't send an e-mail when you get something put up, much like they do when a thread gets replied too. That might make the wait less frustrating.

The story I was grousing about was posted this morning. That was eight days, which is not the most I have ever had to wait but it is longer than usual.
