OOC: This thread is for Soli and me ... and maybe for a sandman/woman .. who knows ;)

IC:It was driving James Monroe crazy. His blood was pumping, he tossed and turned in his bed without being able to sleep. He looked at his clock and sighed
"Shit its almost four and i havent slept yet."

He was getting a bit worried since this had been going on for more than a month now. He had tried to read a few books but they had only made him more awake, even his old algebra book had failed him. The same book that always made him fall asleep when reading it during his highschool years.

James had tried a few herbal teas but they hadn't helped either. Last week he had swept half a bottle of whisky before going to bed without success.

James could only find one good reason to be awake in bed and that would be when he had a woman in his arms. He smiled for himself realising that making love to a woman wouldn't make him less tired in the morning but it would at least give him a good time and make him come out of the shower with a smile on his face.

He finally gave up and walked out in the living room and turned on the tv. He zapped between the channels until he found a movie that looked like a sleeping pill and started to watch it. He must have dozed off because the alarm woke him up at 6 am. His back hurted a bit as he streched out on the couch before walking into the bathroom.

James switched on the light and looked at himself in the mirror. What he saw made him shiver, his face looked as if he had been partying all night. What once had been a face of a smiling guy with shining brown eyes now looked more like a tired old man.

He shaved himself quickly and jumped into a long cold shower.

15 minutes later James was chewing on his morning sandwich as he got dressed. He made a quick check at the mirror before he left home. He still looked handsome with his dark hair and tall body but some of the tired look remained on his face.
He left his appartement and went down to the bus station with the knowledge that he was late again and that he had to do something about his insomnia.

Maggie swept the damp hair up and away from her neck, settling her head back on the pillow so that her hair splayed over it. She pulled her leg out from under the comforter and laid just the one leg over it. She was too cold one minute, too hot another. There was no happy medium.

Her eyes ached for sleep, but her body hummed as if it were midday. She groaned and threw the comforter off of her and sat on the edge of the bed. "Goddammit!" she mumbled.

She grabbed a glass of ice water and headed for the bathroom where she drew a bath. Singking into the warm water, she was sure she might just surrender to slumber right there in the tub. After a twenty minute soak, she clumbed out of the tub and wrapped a towel around her.

She looked in the mirror as the water swirled down the drain of the antique bathtub. Her grey eyes were dull and lifeless, and below them were rings of dark that seemed to be her signature look lately. She had spent the first half of the night working through the problem spots of the script she was working on. Maggie was one of a team of writers for a new sitcom that threatened to either be a hit or a complete miss. The only lucky thing about her recent bout of insomnia, was the fact that her sense of humor was razor sharp when she was crabby.

Sighing, Maggie piled her long black hair on top of her head, securing it with a band, and splashed her face with water. After cleaning the tub out, and finishing her water, she returned to the kitchen to set down her glass and cut two slices of cucumber.

She carried them to the bedroom, shed her towel, and situated herself in the bed. She glanced at the alarm clock and growled. Three forty-five. She checked to make sure that the alarm was on, and laid back on the pillows. She placed the two cucumber slices on her eyes and covered herself. She wasn't sure the cucumbers had any effect at all, but Maggie figured it couldn't hurt. Besides, it did serve to block out the blinking light from the club across the street.

Sleep finally came, though fitfully. The alarm rudely interrupted the beginning of a lovely dream. She cursed.

As she headed out the door that morning, she could hear Jennifer honking the horn. She grabbed her briefcase, and then remembered the script lying on her nightstand. Running to grab it, she stuffed it carelessly in the leather pouch. Maggie ran out the door and climbed in the car, slamming the door behind her.

"You're late," Jennifer scowled.

"I know, I know. I couldn't fucking sleep!"

Jennifer smiled at her. "That's a quarter."

Maggie grumbled and sifted through her purse for a quarter. Handing it to Jennifer she mumbled softly, "shit."

That didn't get by Jennifer either. "Okay, another."

"You know, Jen, you get far too much joy out of making money off of my bad habits." She placed another quarter in her hand.

"Hey, it wasn't my idea, was it?" Jennifer glanced at her friend as Maggie let her head sink back against the headrest. "You still not sleeping?"

Maggie yawned. "Nope, not till nearly four last night."

Jennifer continued to jabber on, but Maggie was oblivious because she was nodding off, hoping to get at least fifteen minutes in before they arrived at work.

James

"Did you enjoy the party last night ?"

"What ?" .. James stared at the busdriver as he was trying to find money for the ticket.

"Yes, you seem to have been up partying all night"

"Naaa, just had a bad wake up call thats all"

Was it that obvious ?, he shook his head slowly as he walked to his seat.
James felt like shit but he had never thought that he looked so bad that even strangers would catch it.

He arrived at the office 30 minutes later, found his desk and turned on his laptop.

The sound from someone approaching his desk made him look up and he could see their secretary Karen.

"Hi James, the boss wanted to see you immediately when you arrived and i assume that ment 30 minutes ago" ..."And you better watch out she sounded as if she was a bit irritated again and you know what that mean". Karen winked at him before whispering "Good luck, i think you need it today".

James shrugged and walked over to Juilas room, knocked on the door and heard a voice asking him to step inside.

"Hi James, have a seat please" Julia nodded towards the chair in front of her desk and he walked over and sat down.

As he looked at her he started to understand what Karen ment, Julias face looked as if trouble was going to come his way.
"What's this ? .. i have been reading your article over and over, its crap and nothing but crap" ... "Where is that talented journalist that worked here two months ago ? ... this article could as well have been written by a teenager!"

He looked up at her frowning face not knowing what to say. She had been his most loyal supporter from the first day he had arrived at the magazine, being his mentor and showing him how to write better articles. He had never seen this side of her before even if he had heard about it from others.

"You better pull your self together James or i will have to replace you" ..... "Maybe a week or two writing the reviews for new tv-programs will teach you a lesson .. or would even watching sitcoms and soaps be too hard work for you ?".

"I'm sorry Julia, i will try to rewrite the article today"

She looked at him with more concern now and said
"What's troubling you James, a broken love affair, family sickness or a drinking problem ?"

"No, its just that i can't sleep, I dozed of at 4.30 this morning" ..."and this has been going on for more than a month"

"Sounds like letting you review tv programs wasnt such a bad idea then" Julia smiled at him before continuing
"Try to find a way out of this James, i want my old journalist back please" with a more serious look on her face.

James left her office and picked up a cup of coffee on his way back to his desk. He sat down and tried to focus on the article knowing that this would be a long day for him.

The day at work had been tedious and unproductive. The writers sat around the table bouncing bad idea after bad idea off one another. Maggie uncharacteristically spoke little. Being the only woman of the team, she was often very vocal just to remind them that she was their equal. But this day, she hadn't a good idea within her grasp, and she faded into the background.

Returning home was just as tedious, Jennifer jabbering on about her latest sexual conquest. Maggie tried to sound as if she cared with the well placed "uh huh" and "I know what you means". Jennifer had a different target nearly every week, and was the most sexually outgoing woman Maggie had ever met.

Closing the door, she sighed. She heard Jennifer roll the window down. "Would you get some sleep tonight, Maggie? It's no fun when I can't even make money off of you!"

Maggie gave the obligatory chuckle, and agreed to take a hot bath and head for bed.

Retreating into her home, she made herself a 7&7, hoping that the spirits would lull her to sleep. Foregoing the bath, she slid into her nightgown, and put some soft music on. She picked up a romance novel and climbed into bed.

She couldn't concentrate on the words in front of her face, and decided to turn the light out. It was only seven, and light still seeped through the window. Her eyes and mind were exhausted, but her body just couldn't relax.

Every time she would start to doze off, something would wake her. The light from the club clicked on outside. She had an idea for the show and had to write it down.

Finally, she gave up. Rising, she went to the window and looked out at the club. What the hell, she thought. Maybe if she just got plastered...

Throwing on jeans and a t-shirt, she walked over to the club. She perched herself on a barstool and smiled at the bartender. "Shot of tequila and a Bud Lite," she mumbled.

James

James looked at his screen. He shook his head slightly knowing that his article wouldn't make Julia jump of joy but he was hoping it would be good enough for her. He hit enter and the mail was on its way.

He went to the gym on his way home from the office and had an hour of workout. James felt much better afterwards but he couldnt help wondering why he had stopped doing his weekly workout two month ago. His muscles would be screaming within a day or two but he knew he had to get back into shape fysically.

Once at home he dropped down on the couch in front of the tv with a sandwish in his hand. The words of the guy in the locker room who bragged about the latest girl he had picked up at a club still ringing in his head. He laughed for himself as he tought .. that guy must have slept for 24 hours afterwards if half of what he had said was true. He zapped between the channels for a while without finding anything worth watching. Would this be his new job ? .. watching soaps or sitcoms and writing about them .. he shrugged at the thought and hoped Julia had been joking but he new she was right. He had to pull himself together and produce something worth reading again.

James feared for another sleepless night as he sat on the sofa. He walked out into the kitchen, opened the fridge and searched for a beer. He cursed for himself when he realised the fridge was empty.

A few moments later he was down on the street on his way to buy a sixpack or two. He changed his mind when he saw a cab approaching, stopped it and stepped inside.

"I need a beer or two and some variation" .. "Can you take me to a good club?"

"Sure man, i think i know the place for you"

The driver took off downtown, and stopped outside a club James never had visited before. He paid and walked inside.

He sat down at the almost empty bar and said "A large beer please".
He looked around lazily as he was sitting there in his yellow tennis-shirt and blue jeans. His eyes stopped for a while as he saw a girl with long black hair at the far end of the bar. Her face was turned away from him, not that it did matter to him since she looked as if she was sitting there waiting for her boyfriend.

He heard the bartender say "One beer for you" and turned around and picked it up.

He gulped half the beer in one big sip and could feel the cold beer running down his throat. He took another big sip before putting it down on the desk and felt his body starting to relax.

After a few more drinks, Maggie was feeling lightheaded and had to pee. She stumbled off the bar stool and into the bathroom. Sitting in the stall, she giggled at the graffiti. "FUCK ME" was written in bold black marker and someone had penciled in below, "gladly".

She went to the sink and saw her bloodshot eyes and weary face. If only it were JUST the alcohol. But her body hadn't had enough sleep in what seemed like ages.

Stumbling back to the bar, she ordered another bud lite and started downing it quickly. Pat Benetar was playing in the background, and despite the late hour there were but a few other patrons. She noticed a man a bit down the way. Attractive, tall, deep brooding brown eyes. She realized she must be staring when he turned and looked directly at her. She averted her eyes and downed the rest of the beer.

Embarrassed that she had been caught, she decided it was time to make it back across the street to her bed. Rising again, she almost lost her balance. She saw the man snap his gaze in her direction. Trying to maintain her composure, she straightened her hair, and threw her purse over her shoulder.

The damned thing about it was that she had to pass his seat to get out the door.

She could only hope to not make a fool of herself as she nearly swaggered to the door.

James continued to drink beer after beer, at times glancing along the bardesk towards the woman at the the other end. He was surprised her friend hadn't arrived, but the way she was drinking made him realise that he wasn't the only custumer in this bar that was here all alone.

He was finally able to see her face when he looked in her direction. She seemed to be an attractive woman and he smiled for himself as he thought he could see a slight blushing on her cheek before she quickly turned her face away.

James heard a noice moments later and peeked towards her as she stood up. He couldn't help noticing that she had had a few drinks to many as she started to walk towards the door. He reached for his beer and wasn't prepared of what followed.
She staggered and fell towards him before he was able to react and some of the beer ended up on her tshirt and some in his lap. The glass fell to the floor with a crashing sound. James reacted slowly, affeced by his own drinking, reached down and grabbed her shoulders and tried to pull her up from his lap.

He looked at her with concern in his eyes as he said
"Are you ok ?" ..."is there anything i can do for you miss ...?"

"Are you ok ?" ..."is there anything i can do for you miss ...?"

Maggie flushed red. How disastrously embarrassing. She wanted to crawl into a hole and die. She straightened slowly. "No, I mean...thank you...um...I'm sorry for...here, let me pay for your beer..."

She wasn't sure exactly what was apropo in such a situation, but she was sure that she had drained him of his last vestiges of drink. She pulled out some money as she heard him protest. She merely set it on the bar, and turned to leave.

The blood in her cheeks was roaring in her ears as she fled the scene. She didn't even hear the door slam behind her as she ran across the street, narrowly avoiding a mishap with a pickup truck. She climbed the stairs and dug in her purse for her keys. "Dammit!" Sitting on the perch, she emptied her purse on the ground and, much to her disgust, there were no keys.

"FUCK!" She must have left them at the bar. And that would mean...she would have to see him again if she wanted to go inside. Reluctantly, she made her way, more carefully this time, back across the street. She placed her hand on the handle and took a big breath for courage.

Just as she began to pull on the door, someone else pushed on the door which sent the door flying into Maggie with full force. The impact threw her off balance, and she found herself sprawled on the ground looking at a pair of men's shoes. "SHIT!" She nearly yelled it, not so much because she had been hurt, but more so because she was fairly sure whose shoes they were.

Would wonders never cease?

Finding a key to ..

James was surprised how fast she was gone. It felt as if it was only seconds between her stuttering words of excuse and the slammed door behind her. He looked at the money on the bar, pondered about having another or not but decided that he had had enough beers for one evening and put the money in his pocket.

He went to the toilet for a quick pee before heading towards the door. As James was passing his chair he saw a bunch of keys on the floor and picked them up.
James assumed it was the keys of the drunken woman, turned towards to bartender to give them to him but walked to the door instead to see if he would be able to see her outside. James pushed hard on the door, felt the resistance to late and could hear someone falling outside.
He looked down and saw his new "friend" on the ground.

Her "Shit" was still ringing in his ears as he reached down for her and tried to pick her up.

"I'm sorry ... it wasn't my ... are you .. let me help you up"

She shook her head towards him and slowly managed to get up on her feet again.
James looked at her face and could see both anger and embarrassment there.

"I must say you and I have a strange way to bumb into each other ... i just wonder .. will it be my turn to fall for you next time"
James couldn't believe his own words, he acted more like a confused teenager than anything else .. but he also felt responsible for her last fall since he had pushed the door way to hard without noticing.

He continued with
"I truly am sorry ... neither my reactions nor my brain is working at full speed today .. the only excuse i have is lack of sleep combined with too many beers".
She mumbled something about sleep before moving towards the door.
James finally remembered, turned and said
"Hey Miss, i think these are yours" and held out the keys towards her.

Maggie looked at the keys in his hand as if they were radioactive. She was truly embarrassed. She snatched the keys, said thank you, and then they stood there. Just stood there looking at one another.

The thought crossed her mind that in a movie where the viewer can suspend all disbelief, there would be some music playing, some drops of rain, and he would lean in to kiss her.

She laughed aloud at the thought. Covering her mouth and trying to regain her composure, she apologized. "I'm sorry, I just had a funny thought. I really do need sleep."

She dipped into her purse and fished out a ten dollar bill. "Thank you. Kind of a finder's fee, you know?"

He looked at her incredulously. And then he just shook his head. Maggie shrugged and fumbled with the bill to get it back into her wallet. "Well, can't say I never offered. Thank you again. Goodnight."

She turned, and began to walk away, very conscious of his gaze as she walked across the empty street, swinging her hips just ever so much more than she normally would have.

James

James eyes followed her as she walked away from him, he watched her swaying hips, his mind tried to find the right words to say. He had been close to kissing her as she had been standing there laughing in front of him but the way she had pulled out the dollar bill had stopped him. It had broken the spell and now he was standing there and letting another opportunity walk away from him without finding the words.

He finally made up his mind and ran over the street and up beside her.

"I thought about the finders fee and was wondering, would you like to go out and share a drink or a dinner some other time?" ...."I'm James by the way"

He looked at her but couldn't figure out what she was thinking, but she hadn't hit him nor screamed yet so he started to relax.

It was late allready and James knew he had to take the opportunity he got when he saw a taxi approaching them. He started to wave at the taxi, turned towards her again and said

"What do you say, do we have a date Miss ... ?"

"What do you say, do we have a date Miss ... ?"

Maggie smiled. "Maggie, Maggie Rowlands. I think I am too drunk and tired right now to answer that right now, James." She shuffled through her purse and pulled out a business card. "That's my cell and pager numbers. Feel free to call. It was sweet of you, what you did for me." She leaned up on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek.

He followed along to open her door for her. "Thank you, James, goodnight."

The door closed behind her, and she climbed the stairs to her apartment laboriously. Throwing her keys down, she made her way to her bedroom where she kicked off her shoes and flopped into bed. She sighed and thought of James. His eyes sparkled despite his said level of intoxication. He was gentlemanly, to boot.

Maggie surmised that she just might be able to give up cussing for a man like that. She curled her arms around the extra pillow, and snuggled against it. She couldn't help the school-girlish desire to imagine that it was him, pressed against her.

The flesh at the juncture of her thighs began to tingle and pulse. Discarding the pillow, she shed her jeans and panties, and let her fingers run through her dampening lips. She inhaled slowly as her fingers caressed her pussy, and grazed her growing clit.

James

"Thank you, James, goodnight."

James looked at the closed door, his cheek still warm from her kiss. He hesitated for a while, wondering if he should knock on the door or not, but turned around and walked down to the waiting taxi and stepped into it. Once inside James red the card he had got, "Maggie Rowlands, writer" ... he thought he recognized the name of the company but couldn't remember where he had seen it. He chuckled for himself, "why bother, its Maggie you want to see again not her company" and put the card into his wallet.

He went directly to the bedroom when he got home, got rid of his clothes and fell down on the bed without even noticing how late it was. James closed his eyes and tried to sleep but in his mind he soon saw pics of Maggie, her smiling face, her wiggling butt and her soft lips. He could almost feel the scent of her perfume in his nose. The thought of Maggie soon made him aroused, to have her naked close to him, to touch her, to feel her warm body against his and finally make love to her. James hand reached out for growing hardness and started to stroke it slowly. If Maggie only was here so that he could feel her hot inside around him, her soft walls against his cock as he pumped in and out of her.

His hand moved faster around his throbbing cock.
The need for a release getting stronger for each stroke but what was really needed in James life was a woman again. He had been alone since he broke up with his girlfriend 2 months ago. At first he had enjoyed being single but lately the longing for a woman had been almost owerwhelming.

A moan slipped over his lips "God .... i want you Maggie"

Another fumbled morning had Maggie doling out dollars to Jennifer on the ride to work. She did wish the girl would stop yammering on about her sexual exploits. It just wasn't fair, when Maggie was yearning for it so.

Her mind raced as she mentally pounded her forhead for not accepting James' invitation. She almost wished she had invited him up. Perhaps then, she would be tired, but glowing that orgasmic glow of a freshly fucked woman that Jennifer nearly always seemed to have.

Dear god, she was turning into a nympho, with no outlet. When had she ever had the desire to be fucked rather than made love to. She let out a frustrated sigh, and Jennifer raised her eyebrows.

"Nothing. Let's just get to work."

She sat at her computer, idly typing useless words on the screen. Silly little mistakes made her growl. She had used the name James instead of Marcus. How one tracked could she be.

The intercom rang, and she pressed the button. "Yes?"

"Phone call on line three for you, Ms. Rowland."

Sighing, she picked up the receiver and pressed the button for line three. "Maggie Rowland. Can I help you?"

The voice was unmistakable, though she had only heard it for a brief while. "Maggie, it's James...from last night?" She was so stunned she forgot to speak.

"Umm...I found your keys for you?"

"Oh, yes, I'm sorry. Just a bit distracted. I'm glad you called."

The tingling of her nipples at the mere sound of his voice indicated that every word was truth.

James

It had been another of those days when James couldn't concentrate at work, but today was a bit different, the reason today was not the lack of sleep it was more because of Maggie and his desire to meet her again. James decided to call her, and after a long wait he finally heard her voice.

"Maggie Rowland. Can I help you?"

"Maggie, it's James...from last night?" There was nothing but silence in the phone, a silence that made him think he had made a mistake to call her. He dad been too drunk last night to be able to tell if she had liked him or not and wasn't sure if she gave him his card just because she was stoned too.

"Umm...I found your keys for you?"

"Oh, yes, I'm sorry. Just a bit distracted. I'm glad you called."

Some of James confidence got back as he heard her voice, she sounded as if she really meant what she said. He hadn't had any plans when he called her so he just acted on impulse as he said

"I've been thinking about yesterday and was wondering if you are free for a date tonight and if so, would you like to come over to my place at 8 to taste my famous cooking, or do you prefer to go out to a bar ?"

James waited anxiously for Maggies answer.

Maggie giggled. Yes, she giggled. "Oh, the bar thing was just a ploy to try to get some sleep. I don't frequent those establishments often. I would love some good home cooking considering what a louse I am in the kitchen!"

They made arrangements, and Maggie copied down the address. Her day couldn't have moved any more slowly. She was antsy, and excited. She hadn't been on a date in so long.

Ditching work a bit early, Maggie went shopping and bought a cute red top and black skirt. She even bought some red lingerie.
Never hurts to be prepared for what may come, she thought with a sigh.

Returning home, she set to the beautifying regiment. It had been a while since she had gotten dolled up, and after all the shaving and plucking and painting and curling, she felt as if she should laminate herself for safe keeping.

Taking a deep breath, she went out to meet the cab. She adjusted her top a bit to show a bit more cleavage, and retouched her full lips with a nice shade of red lipstick. Her hair was pulled up with a clip and curled nicely around her forehead.

She was ready. She slid into the cab and told the cabbie the address. The whole ride there, the cabbie seemed to be looking back at her, and it was making her feel sexy and aroused. She thought of being naughty and teasing him, but she decided to go the good girl route.

Arriving at James' place, the tingles of arousal turned to nervous jitters. She took a deep breath, exhaled, paid the driver, and let herself out of the cab, one black heel at a time.

James

James spend the whole afternoon thinking about his evening date with Maggie. He left work a bit earlier than usual, picked up the groceries and went home.

The hours were flying as he did the necessary preparations in the kitchen but finally everything was ready and he could leave the owen proof dish inside the fridge. He went to the bathroom, showered and shaved himself before he grabbed the bottle of after shave and applied some to his newly shaven skin, thinking to himself that it wasnt every day he had a date and that some additional flavour couldnt do any harm.

James went to his bedroom to get dressed, hesitated for a while before he chose his beige summer slacks and a green tennis shirt.

He went to the living room, turned on a cd and sat down and waited. He looked at his clock and saw that it was 30 minutes before Maggie was supposted to be there. James must have been more than a bit nervous because he looked at least 10 times on his clock before the doorbell rang.

James went out to the door and opened it. His jaw almost dropped to the floor as he looked at Maggie, was this sexy looking woman the same woman he had bumbed into last night. He gathered his composure and asked her to come inside.

They went into the living room and Maggie sat down on the sofa as James went over to the bar. He turned towards her and smiled, she really looked different today or was it just him that had been to drunk to notice her long sexy legs yesterday and the red top she wore now just improved the sexy look.

"Can i get you anything to drink, Maggie ?"

Maggie crossed her legs and looked around the apartment. Though typically male, sparse and earthy, he was definitely a man who put some importance in style. The couch was soft yet firm beneath her thighs. She was feeling a bit timid, somewhat nervous, and highly excitable. Placing her hands over her abdomen, she tried to push the butterflies away.

"I would love a glass of wine, if you have any, James."

She could smell his cologne in the air, and it was one of her favorites. Strong and musky. He had dipped into the kitchen to get her some wine, and Maggie was able to truly scan the room. Dark wood furniture, and some similar knicknacks adorned the room. She was glad there were no animal heads or sports trophies, as she always saw the man who put such things in a room meant for company as vain and cocky.

He returned, and Maggie jerked her head forward, shooting him a nervous smile. He held the glass of wine out and her hand collided with it slightly.

She giggled.

There was a silence as she took a sip of the sweet wine. "Mmmm...this is good. Thank you." Her eyes darted around, uncomfortable as she was, not wanting to settle on him.

James

James made a check to see that everything was ready when he was out in the kitchen. Nodded to himself as he saw the table all set with candles, napkins and for once even flowers. He poured two glasses of wine, went back to the living room and held out a glass for Maggie. Their hands touched for a short moment, a touch that sent a warm wave through James body.

The nervousness could be felt as James sat down besides Maggie on the sofa.

"Mmmm...this is good. Thank you."

James sipped on his own wine, said a short "Your welcome" and sat silent.
His eyes took more then one quick glance at Maggie but he tried to avoid staring directly at her even if his eyes lingered for longer and longer times on her legs.

James went over to the CD-player as the music stopped, turned towards Maggie and asked her what she wanted to hear.

"Please make you own choice James"

He picked a CD with soft love ballads, walked over to Maggie and asked
"Would you like to dance ?" as the music started to play.

Maggie nearly floated into his arms. They seemed to fit well together, though Maggie thought she might ruin it with her lack of coordination soon. But the steps were simple and slow, and she found herself molding into him, her head resting on his shoulder.

She inhaled deeply, taking in his cologne and aftershave. It just felt right. The contours of her body brushed against his and she felt a moment of tension. Lifting her head, her hips brushed against his, and she didn't even have to look into his eyes to know why such tension passed between them.

Pressing her hips into him a bit more, feeling his erection brushing her slightly, she lifted her head to his for a brief kiss. She had never dared to be so bold. Their lips brushed softly, and then her head returned to his chest.

There was a ding from the kitchen, and they pulled apart slowly.

James

James cursed for himself as he heard the sound from the kitchen. It had felt so good to have Maggie in his arms, the way her body had been close to his had turned him on and the way she responded made him belive she had felt the same desire.

He smiled towards Maggie as they pulled apart.
"I hope you save the last dance for me ... but it sounds as if its time for dinner now"

James took her hand and guided her towards the kitchen. A few minutes later they were sitting at the table with a wine glass in their hand and with chicken fillet and rice on their plates. James eyes met Maggies as he smiled and said
"Cheers and welcome"

They took a first sip on their wine and started to eat. Their talking was slow at the start but soon increased as the alcohol loosened their tongues. James told her all about his passion for scuba diving, how he loved to dive into the sea and see the fishes and corals around him, how he loved travelling and how the diving had been taking him to small paradise icelands all over the world that he would never visited otherwise.

Their eyes met as they took another sip of the wine. James gazed into Maggies grey eyes and continued to tell her about his work as journalist on the magizine.

"I'm hoping to get the Pulitzer price one day but i might as well end up in front of the tv if i continue to write my articles the way i have done lately."

James stopped his talking and looked at Maggie.
"Thats enough about me now i want to know everything about you Maggie"

Maggie giggled, a bit tipsy from the wine and company. "Me? There's not much to tell. I work as a writer for a sitcom, and I live alone. My best friend is a wonderful woman, but a nymphomaniac, and I've been living vicariously through her for too long."

She blushed, realizing what she had just said. "I-I mean..." She didn't know what she meant. And he seemed to be waiting for her to go on.

"I love to read and listen to music. Oh, I know that sounds cliche, but it's true. I am the most faulted woman on this planet. My year long efforts at quitting profanity have been fruitless, and though I work in an office filled with men, I seem to scare them off quickly."

She sipped her wine, as if sipping courage. He only smiled at her. What a gorgeous smile. It was contagious.

"Dinner was wonderful, James." She was kicking her feet nervously under the table, and her foot came into contact with his. Pulling her foot back quickly, she stuttered, "I-I'm sorry."

She was a babbling idiot. She sighed and set her glass down. "Look, I'm sorry I'm being such an idiot. The fact is, I haven't been on a date in ages, and I'm not sure what I'm doing."

Standing, she took her glass to the living room, set it on the coffee table on a coaster, and sat on the couch. "Maybe I'm destined to be a flop at it."

James

Maggie could have been describing James, he was also single, he hadn't been on a date for a long time and he felt as nervous as she seemed to be.

James sat down on the couch besides Maggie. His hand brushed against her leg as he turned towards her
"I'm seldom sure of what to do either, but i know what i want to do now"

He leaned towards Maggie and gave her a kiss and could feel her warm lips brush against his. James was already longing for more as the kiss broke and he whispered. "We have the whole evening to turn this date into something else than a flop"

James saw a slight blush on Maggies cheeks but also an encouraging smile. He wrapped his arm around her and their lips met again, this time for a longer kiss. His tongue licked slowly along her lip and he could feel her lips parting as his hand started to caress her leg. His tongue slid in between her lips, and started to explore her warm mouth. Their tongues were soon dancing together as the kiss got deeper.

Maggie wrapped her arms around James neck and pressed her body against his. Hands were soon moving over warm bodies, eagerly touching each other. Soft moans could be heard as the kissing got hotter and more passionate.

Maggie was so quickly swept up in the passion of the moment that she had no time to doubt what she was doing, nor what she wanted. She simply allowed her body to do the thinking for her. James' tongue was like candy in her mouth, and she found herself sucking on it as if it really were. Her hands were aimless wanderers over his body, not able to decide where to concentrate their efforts.

His hand on her thigh was soft and soothing, and at the same time ellicited as many hormonal reactions from her as his tongue was doing. There was no question about it, the man knew how to kiss, how to touch. Normally, this would have had alarm bells ringing loudly in Maggie's head. A man who knew how to make her melt was surely far more experienced than she, and that was dangerous.

She didn't know James. She knew very little outside of his name and his culinary abilities. But it felt so damned good. She found herself edging closer to him, wanting to feel her breasts pressed against his chest.

She sighed into his mouth with a whisper of a moan, and reluctantly broke the kiss. Her eyes were heavy lidded, but she looked in his eyes. She couldn't read whether it was just blind lust she saw in them, or if there was more.

She rested her forhead on his, and caught her breath. Her heart was beating through her shirt, she was sure. She didn't know if she could pull away from this man or not. She surely didn't want to, but should she? Propriety begged that she date the man for a while. But her whole body vibrated with want.

She felt his lips against her neck and she sighed, closing her eyes tightly as she struggled to decide...

James

James wasn't sure if it was her scent, her warm thigh under his hand or the way Maggie had responded to his kiss that made his body ache for her. He knew he wanted her and that he wanted her now, something that wasn't a normal reaction for him since he preferred to get to know a girl a bit better before he got more involved, but the desire he felt for Maggie was something else, it was a desire so strong that there was no way back.

All James senses was razor sharp, carefully noticing every move and sound that came as a response from his actions. The sigh he heard from Maggie as his lips brushed against her neck encouraged him to go on. A soft kiss was followed by another as his lips found their way along her neck and he could soon hear a soft moan.

James could feel Maggie’s warm skin under his fingertips but it wasn’t until he felt her hands pulling his shirt out of his pants that his hand continued slowly up along her thigh. His mouth opened and as his tongue reached out and started to lick along her skin, another moan was heard from Maggie. Her hands slid under his shirt and he could feel her fingertips teasing his back as they brushed along his skin.

James heart was beating faster, all he wanted was Maggie and nothing else. It was a desire and lust that he hadn’t felt for years, a desire to feel two naked bodies pressed against each other until they finally were unit as one. He nibbled teasingly in her earlobe as he let his hand slide in under her skirt and he gave her thigh a gentle squeeze before whispering

”Maggie, I want you”
