Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but I seem to be waiting quite a while for my story to get approved. According to the system, it's gotten 15 views, which I presume is from the editor or editors responsible for the Celebrities section.

What's bugging me is that it's been more than 3 days, and if I recall correctly, the thing said 72 hours before you're informed if it's approved or not, and it's been like 4 or 5 now... ^^;;

Hi, Reuisu and welcome to Literotica and the Author's Hangout. So far, nobody has been able to determine which author owns the place.

That three days is a reference to entries in contests, such as the Winter Holiday one that is going on now. Usually, stories take about a week to post although they tend to take longer when there is a contest underway, like now.

You're right about those views on the story. Rhey are the managers of the site inspecting your story before osting it but there are no specific editor or manager for any particular section.

I'm thinking that with the holiday contest going on they are swamped with entries. So, it might be taking a little longer than normal. (at least that is what I'm thinking)

Waiting for a story to post is usually the hardest part....it feels like forever until it is up.

You'll be amazed at how many stories incorporate mixed genres...

I believe most of my stories do. Some of the simplest E/C stories don't but some E/C stories incorporate toys and some include anal activity and could possibly be called LW. Some group sex stories include lesbian activity, toys, anal and interracial elements. My stories are REALLY dirty.

Never fear! my latest took well over a week to get approved along with over 30 viewings beforehand including refusal at first because it couls possibly but only possibly infringe the rules! Intrnational law differences!

I am in the same boat; I have about nine stories in queue - and one story in the winter contest that cleared in no time flat.

I generally put mine in BDSM; there is a great deal of control in the majority of my work. But I weave in a whole bunch, including non-consent, lesbian, group sex, fetish, anal, and even some romance. It is rough choosing which group to put the story in. My rule of thumb is to use the way you would describe the underlying relationship. If it is mainly a loving wife, but includes group sex, bondage, and fetish play, then it is a loving wife story. If the story is mainly bondage with the others thrown in, then it is BDSM. Go with what feels right, we won't crucify you.

Yep, I submitted one as erotic couplings and they moved it to BDSM even though the content was extremely mild (slight domination, nothing else).

I submitted one of my early stories as E/C and it was moved to NC. That was before the category was NC/Reluctance. The story was about role-playing rape by a prowler and I made it very clear in the narration that it was strictly for fun. Those wanting to read genuine NC stories would be disappointed by it. I wrote of a threesome with a TS and it was posted to Fetish, of all places. At the same time, on some of my earlier stories, I did call for the wrong posting and it was correctly changed.

They did that to the last two of mine, I submitted one in the Loving Wives category and it was switch to the Exhibitionist & Voyeur category. The other I submitted it in the Group category and it has been switched to the Loving Wives category.

I guess they know what their doing, but I really wanted those particular stories in the category I submitted them in.

Celebrities and Non-consent stories usually go up together in a bunch. My guess is those two are edited by someone who submits approvals in one batch every 4-7 days.

Sometimes it's slow, others it's fast. As long as it still says pending it's ok.
