Not complaining, just asking...I've always seen 48-72 hours for approval. It's been 12 days, now, awaiting approval for my latest submission. Is there a problem I don't know about? Thank-you for any answers anyone can give me.

I don't feel so bad now.

I've been waiting five days, which is unusual, but after reading the above I now feel better.

Sorry for the slower than usual approval time on your story.

Our current turn around on publishing stories is approximately 2-5 days.

It should not take 10+ days.

If a story is in the queue and any editing is done on the story, that will cause the submission date of the story to be reset, sending it to the back of the queue. We have had cases where authors did not know that editing reset the submission date so they kept editing while waiting for the story to be approved. In that case, it's possible for a story to remain in the queue indefinitely because every time there is an edit, the 2-5 day wait time gets extended. Not sure if that's what happened here, but feel free to send a PM to Laurel if you think there is a problem.

Sorry again and thank you for submitting! :D

I THINK I've figured out what caused my long wait. I have always written in .txt format in Notepad for posting on Lit, because their system doesn't play well with other document formats, and there will be a delay. That's not a problem and I like Notepad. But, a ha! The submission in question didn't come straight from a Notepad doc. For submission, I had cut and pasted it from my blog. Bad move, since from there, it contained all the coding and stuff which Lit doesn't like from Word docs. I caused my own delay and learned my lesson! Thank-you for your comment on my question.
