I have gotten feedback on stories with no votes. I think they post the votes and the reads seperately.

The votes update in real time -- every time yourfresh the page, any new votes will show up.

The reads counter is only updated during the daily site maintenance cycle (midnight Pacific time when the new stories are posted.)

The first day, it is not uncommon for a story to show more votes than reads. after it's been up for 24 hours it will show a more realistic ratio of votes to reads.

Your little motto is right, Weird Harold, you do have the answers. I wondered about how you can have votes and no reads. Now I know. Just shows you, have a little patience and the answers will fall into your hand.

(And somebody repaired a horrible typo in the
story description I submitted. "Froom" for from.
